📖 Introduction
As we navigate the ups and downs of life, we accumulate a heavy burden of stress, anxiety, and painful memories. For many of us, our coping mechanisms change as we get older. We might realize that constantly venting or talking about our problems feels unproductive or frivolous, so we start suppressing our emotions instead. We swallow our stress, bottle up our anger, and try to calm ourselves down in silence. But that suppressed frustration doesn’t just disappear—it lingers in the chest, creating a constant hum of loneliness and restless anxiety. What happens when you finally find a systematic way to drain that internal pressure?
In this post, two practitioners share the incredible lightness of finally letting go. A 31-year-old woman shares how discovering a method to discard her painful memories transformed her heavy, struggling mind into a state of profound comfort. Meanwhile, a man who had built a habit of suppressing his stress explains how draining his internal anger left him with a cool, clear head—and inspired him to bring his entire family to meditate.
Read their inspiring stories to see how mind subtraction provides a permanent solution to release suppressed anger and calm an anxious mind.
💬 Story 1: ✨ “Amazingly, My Mind Became Light and Comfortable”
By Kim Eun-hee / Age 31 / Level 1
I visited the meditation center to calm my struggling mind. It was different from what I expected, so I started with half expectation and half curiosity… but amazingly, my mind became so light and comfortable.
“The process of finding and discarding the things I wanted to forget was sometimes hard, but as I endured and repeated it, I realized that the universe mind really does exist… After feeling that, I have the desire to continue meditating.”
The mind that has built up until now… What should I do with the mind that will be added as I continue to live. I had a lot of worries about whether I could endure and live well… To think there is such a meditation method… It’s truly amazing… and thank you.

💬 Story 2: 🌊 “The More I Drain the Anger Inside, the Clearer and Cooler My Head Becomes”
By Gicharo / Level 1
I went to the local center through an acquaintance’s introduction. They said it was a practice of this meditation (mind subtraction). Simply having a good image of meditation, I made an appointment, registered, and went unconditionally for a month. The more I stopped by every day, the more peaceful my mind became day by day. I think it’s because until then, every single day was filled with anxiety, restlessness, and frustration, and I had a lot of loneliness myself.
Originally, I had a constitution where my stress was relieved by spitting out a lot of words. But as I got older, I felt it made me seem frivolous, and I had many thoughts that talking a lot is only a loss, so it seems I had developed a habit of reducing my words and calming my stress down on my own.
“As I drained the anger inside through the mind subtraction practice, the feeling of my head becoming clear and cool grew bigger and bigger.”
It was a waste to do it alone, so I went to the 1-night 2-day looking-back program with my wife. My wife didn’t seem to dislike it, so taking this ‘Lunar New Year’ as an opportunity, I suggested we use the holiday to go to the Main Center for Level 1 (the whole family).
Honestly, sitting and meditating for such a long time in my entire life is something that should go in the Guinness Book. It seems it will be a big help in keeping equanimity in daily life, and it will be a living life. Thank you to the guides who helped.
