📖 Introduction

Between the heavy stress of the workplace and the inner voice of low self-esteem, it is easy to become trapped in a cycle of anxiety and frustration. We often whip ourselves to do better, only to end up feeling more exhausted and inferior. But what if you could just let all of those heavy thoughts go?

A 48-year-old shares how taking a week off to meditate helped him discard his overwhelming work stress and pressure, replacing it with a lightened heart and profound rest. Meanwhile, a 21-year-old reveals how letting go of her habit of comparing herself to others completely cured her inferiority complex, turning her low self-esteem into soaring confidence.

💬 Story 1: “A lightened heart and a new feeling”
By Nam Gi-tae / Age 48 / Level 1
I took a week’s vacation and came in for this meditation practice. While meditating, I looked back on my past days and felt deeply moved. I was worried about stress from my boss at work, the pressure of passing Level 1, and whether I would adjust well to group meditation.
I struggled for 2-3 days because I couldn’t get used to the atmosphere, but as time went on, mind subtraction worked, and as I discarded myself piece by piece, I gained a lightened heart, a renewed feeling, and my mind brightened.
“It was truly amazing that there was a mind subtraction method, and a grateful heart naturally arose. Using the time I lacked at the local center to fully discard my lived life and thoughts here, I came closer to the universe mind and found rest.”
Although I didn’t pass the level, this opportunity gave me conviction in the mind subtraction method, and I was grateful to make a resolution to definitely complete this study. I sincerely want to convey my thanks to the helper teachers and all those who served, and thank you for a great time.

Before meditating, I had a lot of frustration in my heart. But while doing mind subtraction, for the first time in my life, I felt a sensation of my heart opening up wide. And as I subtracted my mind, my inferiority complex gradually disappeared, and my low self-esteem became high.
“Also, living my life, I had always compared myself with others, whipping myself and feeling anxious. I used to live in stress and worry, tormenting myself with countless thoughts! But the me now! I no longer compare myself with others…”
As the countless thoughts disappeared, I live receiving less stress and worrying less. I think subtracting the mind is truly great and a really amazing method. I am really glad I found out about this meditation. I am really glad I can live happily like this.
