πŸ“– Introduction

Have you ever felt exhausted but unable to fall asleep because your mind refuses to stop thinking? The moment you lie down, memories of the day, past regrets, and old emotional wounds may suddenly resurface. Even when surrounded by loving family and supportive friends, these persistent thoughts can make peaceful sleep feel impossible.

In this heartfelt meditation testimonial, a 64-year-old woman shares her struggles with insomnia, lethargy, and painful memories. Through mind subtraction meditation, she began reflecting on the accumulated mental pictures and emotions that had burdened her for years, discovering gratitude and a renewed determination to live with a clearer, more peaceful mind.

πŸ’¬ Story: 🌷 “Escaping the Days of Suffering From Insomnia”

By Seoul Violet / Age 64 / Level 1

It had been a few years since I had many random thoughts and became lethargic. When I lay down to sleep, everything from what happened that day to scars from long ago relentlessly popped up, and it was a daily routine to get back up and turn on the lights.

Yet, I had friends I could express my feelings to, and a daughter and a son, so I couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t disappear and kept surfacing.

I am thankful to my daughter who guided me to this place, and I am thankful to the helpers and the method for allowing me to pull out the countless pictures taken and the masses of sorrow, pain, joy, and euphoria.

“Selfish and labeling everyone, shoving them into my mindβ€”I have now begun the practice of discarding that mind and am studying the method of emptying.”

Even while washing dishes or going to bed, I continuously pray to the Truth to eliminate the false me.

As a baby’s first babble taking its first steps to live as the real, true me…

🌱 NEXT STEPS: Quiet Your Racing Thoughts and Rediscover Peace

Do painful memories, worries, or endless thoughts keep you awake at night? When the mind remains occupied with past experiences, finding a sense of calm can become difficult.

Mind subtraction meditation offers a structured opportunity to reflect on accumulated memories and practice letting them go. As Seoul Violet’s experience illustrates, beginning to recognize these mental burdens can bring renewed hope, gratitude, and a more peaceful perspective on life.

Meditation may complement healthy sleep habits, but persistent insomnia should also be evaluated by a healthcare professional.
