π Introduction
When we carry deep-seated anger, it often acts as a blindfold. Whether that anger stems from painful past traumaβlike being bullied in high schoolβor simply a rigid belief that our way of thinking is the only right way, it isolates us. We constantly feel alienated, anxious, and agitated by the people around us. But what happens when you finally stop blaming the world and look inward?
In this post, three individuals share their powerful breakthroughs regarding anger and empathy. One practitioner realized that their rigid beliefs were actually hurting their loved ones. Another discovered the immediate relief of stopping the mind in its tracks, while a 21-year-old bravely confronted and released the heavy trauma of childhood bullying.
Read their transformative stories to see how discarding anger can replace baseless anxiety with a profound, lighthearted desire to understand others.
π¬ Story 1: πͺ “My Mind That Understands Others Has Grown”
By Bulgaemi / Age 50 / Level 1
Changes. It seems I won’t get extremely angry or agitated anymore. The tendency to think something is wrong or incorrect if it’s different from my own thoughts has decreased, and my mind that understands others has grown. Knowing the fact that I struggled because of the pictures of the mind I had taken inside my heart, I feel I will be able to break free from them in the future by realizing they are all illusions.
Feelings. I had a strong thought that I was struggling because of the people around me, but it occurred to me that the people around me must have struggled because of me.
“Discarding the fixed ideas in my mind and becoming the universe mind, I want to live with a broad mind, being considerate of others.”

π¬ Story 2: π “It’s Good That I Can Discard the Mind Whenever It Comes Up”
By Kim Jung-woo / Age 37 / Level 1
“Knowing that my mind is fake and does not exist, and being able to discard the fake mind moment by moment whenever it comes up, it was good to experience not being dragged around by the fake mind.”

π¬ Story 3: ποΈ “The Anger Towards the Friends Who Bullied Me Was Discarded”
By Cho Dae-in / Age 21 / Level 1
I first came to this meditation because of feelings of baseless anxiety, anger, and alienation. At first, I didn’t know the reason for it all, but as I kept discarding the pictures of my mind, I found it. It was exactly because of being bullied in high school.
Because I had no friends, I felt the anxiety and alienation that I wouldn’t have any friends, as well as anger towards the perpetrators.
“At first, it was difficult to discard that mind, but as I kept discarding it, I felt somewhat lighthearted, and a desire to understand other people started coming up.”
