📖 Introduction

What gives us the courage to face life’s greatest challenges? Whether we are approaching the final chapters of a long life or confronting a serious illness, uncertainty about the future can lead us to reflect on how we have lived and what truly matters. Even during difficult times, discovering a new perspective can bring renewed hope and purpose.

In these two heartfelt meditation testimonials, an 89-year-old practitioner looks back on nearly nine decades of life and discovers a meaningful turning point, while a 57-year-old facing advanced lung cancer shares how mind subtraction meditation helped him confront his fear of death and find greater courage. Their experiences reveal the power of self-reflection, gratitude, and inner resilience.

💬 Story 1: 🌅 “Looking Back for the First Time on How I Lived My 90 Years of Life”

By Jeong Il-woo / Age 89 / Level 1

Encountering it for the first time in my life and doing this meditation for 7 nights and 8 days, looking back on my past thoughts and how I have lived my life until now has become a turning point in my life, and I am very satisfied.

As for what has changed, I often pledge to live the rest of my life breaking away from the way I have lived until now, always with the feeling of having become the universe mind in every daily life.

Thank you!

💬 Story 2: 🎗️ “Gaining the Boldness and Courage to Fight and Beat Cancer”

By Jin Yu-min / Age 57 / Level 1

Last August, a sudden health problem occurred to me, and while frantically receiving hospital treatment and mobilizing everything to take care of my health, I suddenly thought of this meditation and came to Level 1.

The diagnosis was severe terminal lung cancer. I was flustered as it was an acute illness. Because my body could move a bit, I came this time, and after meditating for a week, I think it was so good that I came, and I am endlessly grateful.

“Discarding even the fear of death and everything else, I gained the boldness to fight and beat cancer, and my body also improved a lot.”

I am going back with the plan to come back and do Level 2 three weeks from now, after receiving chemotherapy in two weeks.

With courage and comfort, I want to manage myself well, do Level 2 well, and live with the mind of the universe by doing this meditation study to the end.

I am truly grateful for this method. Thank you. ♡

🌱 NEXT STEPS: Find Courage and Peace at Every Stage of Life

Whether you are reflecting on a lifetime of experiences or facing uncertainty about your health, finding emotional peace can help you approach each day with greater clarity and purpose.

Mind subtraction meditation offers a structured opportunity to look back on accumulated thoughts, worries, and fears. As these two practitioners describe, self-reflection can provide a sense of renewal, gratitude, and courage even during life’s most challenging moments.

Meditation may offer emotional support during serious illness, but it does not treat cancer or replace medical care, including chemotherapy and other prescribed treatments.
