📖 Introduction
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by stress, physical discomfort, and the endless worries of everyday life? When responsibilities, family difficulties, and health challenges accumulate, even simple moments of happiness can feel out of reach. We may spend years searching for relief without realizing how deeply our thoughts and emotions influence our experience of life.
In these two meditation testimonials, a 42-year-old woman shares how mind subtraction meditation helped her release accumulated worries and discover profound joy and satisfaction. Meanwhile, a 68-year-old practitioner describes feeling physically lighter and more hopeful while dealing with chronic back pain and headaches. Their experiences highlight the connection between self-reflection, emotional well-being, and renewed hope.
💬 Story 1: 🌻 “Filled Completely with Joy, Happiness, and Satisfaction”
By Ahn Hye-ran / Age 42 / Level 7
While doing this meditation, realizing that I was living in the world inside my mind, I became able to discard both the ‘me’ inside it and the fake world.
Because the numerous pains, worries, agonies, and doubts were all caused by the ‘me’ in the pictures of my mind, and because there is a clear method, I only discarded the ‘me’ in the fake world.
“As I did, the world that felt so hard and complicated became so well organized, filling my mind completely with joy, happiness, and satisfaction, and my body naturally became healthy.”
I was so grateful that there is a way to truly live.
While working in society, my headaches from stress never stopped, and family life felt so difficult that I always wanted to run away somewhere.
Through this method, everything was resolved at once, and now life is only hope and joy.
Having even learned the principles of the world, I have nothing more to wish for, and it has hit me that this world we are in right now is heaven itself.
I sincerely thank this meditation method.

💬 Story 2: 🌿 “Body Became Lighter, and Pain Alleviated”
By Park Eun-hyun / Age 68 / Level 2
After meditating at the local center for two months, I came to the Main Center. With a diagnosis of a herniated disc, my pain extended to my left leg, so even my family worried if I could sit and meditate for a long time.
However, since starting mind subtraction, I felt my body becoming lighter and my headaches improving, so I wanted to focus more on meditation.
My daily routine, where most of the day was spent treating my back, was sometimes frustrating and made me cry.
Hearing that if I worked hard on meditation, energy would flow through my whole body and the pain would be alleviated, I decided to put it into practice.
The first and second days were hectic. Even though I was a patient, I did a forced march with a treatment chair against my back. I diligently followed along until late at night, doing mind subtraction all day.
On the 3rd day, I was so tense and working so hard that my shoulders hurt.
“I took the medicine I usually take twice a day only once. I felt stiff but it didn’t hurt. I praised myself for being admirable and even skipped my medicine.”
It passed safely. Thank you, thank you… Repeating this several times, I gained the hope that I could be healthy.
It can’t be perfect, but I gained the certainty that I can be healthy if I do mind subtraction well. And also, I can escape from other pains and agonies.
Thank you to the several teachers who pulled me this far.

🌱 NEXT STEPS: Release Mental Burdens and Rediscover Joy
Are stress, worries, or ongoing physical discomfort making it difficult to enjoy everyday life? Taking time to understand your thoughts and emotional reactions can be a meaningful step toward greater peace and resilience.
Mind subtraction meditation offers a systematic approach to reflecting on accumulated memories and practicing letting them go. As these two practitioners describe, self-reflection can bring a renewed sense of happiness, gratitude, and hope.
Meditation can complement medical treatment, but it does not cure herniated discs or other physical conditions. Always consult your healthcare professional before changing prescribed medications or treatment.
