π Introduction
Many of us navigate life without ever truly examining what is buried in our minds. When sudden anger or frustration surges up, we brush it off as a reaction to a momentary, trivial event. If we do try to self-reflect, we often do it purely with our intellectβreading books, analyzing our behavior, and loudly proclaiming, “I am the problem,” while secretly harboring resentment toward others. We wear a mask of someone who “has it all figured out,” completely unaware that a real, concrete solution to our inner turmoil actually exists. What happens when you finally stop overthinking and start genuinely emptying your mind?
In this post, two individuals share their eye-opening journeys of true self-discovery. A 45-year-old realizes they had been carrying a lifetime of hidden anger without ever knowing a solution existed. Meanwhile, a 47-year-old discovers the profound difference between understanding their flaws intellectually and truly acknowledging them with the heart, finally dropping the mask of fake self-reflection.
Read their transformative stories to see how mind subtraction offers a real, practical solution to hidden anger and intellectual traps.
π¬ Story 1: ποΈ “I Lived Without Even Thinking of a Solution”
By Uija (Chair) / Age 45 / Level 1
Living my life until now, I only thought that momentary, trivial things were difficult. I had no time to think about what was in my mind. However, through this meditation Level, I realized for the first time that there were so many struggling versions of myself inside my mind.
“I lived getting angry and harboring anger that surged up from my heart without knowing the cause. Up until now, I lived without even knowing there was a way to solve it, nor thinking about trying to solve it.”
But through this Level, I was happy to learn the fact that I can do it if I do mind subtraction. I hope to empty more and know more of the true mind through meditation. It was great to have this opportunity, and I thank my wife and mother-in-law for recommending this meditation.

π¬ Story 2: πͺ “Because the Saturday and Sunday Lectures Were So Good”
By Chorok (Green) / Age 47 / Level 1
The Saturday and Sunday lectures were so good that I looked forward to the week. The single day of Monday felt as long as a week passing by. I thought I understood the helper’s lecture and that it was what I usually thought. But after a few days, I realized I only knew it in my head. I only came to understand the helper’s words with my heart after time passed.
Why did they tell me to subtract my mind? The more I subtracted, the more I realized, “Ah, it was a false mind. How selfish I was, always hiding something and living as someone other than myself…” Feeling angry, upset, or embarrassed were all false minds, and I thought, “What have I been doing?” and “I lived in vain.”
“I, who prided myself on thinking a lot about ‘Where am I?’, reading books, and living well, realized that it was just a mask, not me. I realized that while I verbally said, ‘I am the problem,’ thinking others were the problem, I had only been thinking and saying that with my head, not my heart.”
I have no doubt that if I subtract more, I will truly feel the universe mind brightly. I thank everyone who helped me.
