📖 Introduction
Have you ever wondered who you truly are or why your emotions change so easily depending on your surroundings? Even after years of studying philosophy, religion, or self-improvement, understanding our own minds can remain surprisingly difficult. Like clear water disturbed by mud at the bottom, our inner peace can quickly disappear when outside circumstances stir up deeply rooted thoughts and emotions.
In this meditation testimonial, a 33-year-old practitioner shares how mind subtraction meditation helped reveal the underlying structure of the mind. Through sincere self-reflection, Moon discovered why emotions had been so easily influenced by external circumstances and began developing a deeper understanding of the true nature of the self.
💬 Story: 🌿 “If You Don’t Look Back on Yourself, You Can Never Find It”
By Moon / Age 33 / Level 1
I used to often think about who I am, or how I should live in the world. While studying Christianity, Buddhism, and reading various books, I built up knowledge and felt it was helpful in real life too. However, just as clear water turns muddy if the wind blows or someone runs around because there is dirt at the bottom, my emotions tended to be swayed by my surroundings.
During this meditation, I discarded my body and mind with my mind and focused as much as possible during the given time, and before long, I learned what my fundamental mind that gets swayed like that was.
“And I learned that living without being swayed by those emotions is a life a little closer to the universe mind.”
I also learned the fact that all actions humans take come from the mind, and because that mind is intricately intertwined, you can never find it if you don’t look back on yourself with sincerity.
The Level 1 meditation let me know that fundamental structure of the mind, and matured me further.
I express my gratitude to the many helpers and the people around me who meditated hard with me.
