đź“– Introduction

Have you ever read a review for something life-changing and thought, “There is no way this is actually true”? When you are deeply entangled in depression, lethargy, or chronic insomnia, promises of profound healing can feel completely unbelievable. Many people arrive at meditation feeling highly skeptical, or even entirely unwilling to participate. Furthermore, when you have supportive friends and family, it can be incredibly frustrating to not understand why your mind still keeps you awake at night with painful past scars. But what happens when you decide to set aside your doubts and actually give the method a try?

In this post, two practitioners share how their initial hesitations transformed into miraculous healing through mind subtraction meditation. A 21-year-old shares how she arrived completely involuntarily and highly skeptical of the reviews, only to experience a huge mental shift that freed her from years of depression. Meanwhile, a 64-year-old reflects on her desperate battle with severe insomnia and random thoughts, and how discovering the method of emptying her mind finally allowed her to clear her past scars and take her first true steps in life.

Read their inspiring stories to discover how letting go of your skepticism and emptying your mind can cure your sleepless nights and pull you out of depression.

đź’¬ Story 1: “I couldn’t believe the reviews”

By Homerun Ball Cheese Flavor / Age 21 / Level 1

When I first came to this meditation, I couldn’t believe the reviews I had read before coming. Furthermore, since I didn’t come voluntarily, I had absolutely no intention of participating diligently in the meditation.

“However, seeing the helpers meticulously trying to help to the end as if it were their own business even though it wasn’t, my mind changed to ‘let me give it a try too’.”

Ultimately, although I couldn’t reach the target of Level 1, I physically felt a huge change happening in my mind. I am truly happy that it seems I became able to overcome the me that was tied down by lethargy, depression, and the past. It was also amazing that I could overcome things I had suffered for years just with this meditation.

💬 Story 2: “Escaping the days of suffering from insomnia”

By Seoul Violet / Age 64 / Level 1

It had been a few years since I had many random thoughts and became lethargic. When I lay down to sleep, everything from what happened that day to scars from long ago relentlessly popped up, and it was a daily routine to get back up and turn on the lights. Yet, I had friends I could express my feelings to, and a daughter and a son, so I couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t disappear and kept surfacing.

I am thankful to my daughter who guided me to this place, and I am thankful to the helpers and the method for allowing me to pull out the countless pictures taken and the masses of sorrow, pain, joy, and euphoria.

“Selfish and labeling everyone, shoving them into my mind—I have now begun the practice of discarding that mind and am studying the method of emptying. Even while washing dishes or going to bed, I continuously pray to the Truth to eliminate the false me.”

As a baby’s first babble taking its first steps to live as the real, true me…
