📖 Introduction
Depression and lingering anger can slowly take over our lives, casting a dark cloud over our daily routines and the people we love most. For some, it is a lifelong battle with an illness that shrinks their world. For others, it manifests as unexplained morning anger, turning what should be a peaceful family home into a battlefield.
In this post, two individuals share their incredible journeys of breaking free from these heavy emotional chains. Through the practice of mind subtraction, one was able to overcome a decades-long struggle with depression and resentment, while a mother transformed her stressful, screaming mornings into moments of genuine love and peace.
Read their honest stories to see how discarding your accumulated mind can completely heal your heart and your home.
💬 Story 1: 🌿 “After This Meditation, Getting Angry and Annoyed in Daily Life Has Significantly Decreased”
By Sungyoung Hong / Age 51 / Level 7
Due to an illness (depression) that started in my mid-20s, my life shrank and became so miserable that I wandered looking for many treatment methods. I received many treatments such as Western medicine, Oriental medicine, and folk remedies, but it didn’t heal easily. Just as it seemed to get a little better, it relapsed over and over again, making me live a very grueling life.
Then, by chance while conversing with an acquaintance, I received a recommendation to try this meditation and immediately registered at the local center and started.
Through Level 1, I came to look back on how I was born and had lived until now. My strict grandfather always scolded me and my father, making it so we couldn’t even speak properly. I realized that what piled up step by step since then gave birth to my current appearance.
“Diligently tracing back my life, amazingly I realized that the universe is me and was startled. I realized that I didn’t hate my father, who couldn’t budge under my strict grandfather, but rather became thankful to him, and seeing myself truly change like this, I was startled.”
As the Levels progressed, there was only gratitude for everything, and as I thought from others’ perspectives in daily life, getting angry and annoyed also decreased significantly. Now I am thankful for the depression and I swear to continue doing this meditation persistently in the future.

💬 Story 2: 🕊️ “The Mornings That Started With Screaming Became Peaceful”
By Seungeun Lim / Age 40 / Level 1
While meditating, I developed a thankful heart toward everyone and given situations. Before meditating, I didn’t even know I had depression, and lived blaming all situations, people, and conditions.
About 2 weeks after registering for Level 1, my husband laughed and said, ‘You must absolutely never quit this meditation.’
“Because the mornings that started with screaming and getting angry at the kids are now quiet and peaceful, my husband must have liked it too. And the thing I am most thankful for is that I started saying with my own mouth that the kids are pretty and lovely.”
Even when I was single, I never thought kids were pretty, and even after having kids, I just raised them because I was a mom and occasionally thought they were pretty. But after meditating, I truly and sincerely find the kids lovely. Thank you.
