📖 Introduction

Have you ever blamed someone for making you unhappy, only to realize later that your own thoughts and judgments were contributing to your suffering? We often believe that difficult relationships, misunderstandings, and emotional pain are caused entirely by other people. Yet our reactions can also be shaped by accumulated memories, pride, stubbornness, and resentment.

In these two meditation testimonials, a 48-year-old practitioner discovers how deeply pride, greed, and stubbornness had filled his mind, while a 30-year-old woman recognizes how she had been secretly judging and resenting others. Through mind subtraction meditation, both begin to understand their own mental patterns and discover the possibility of living with greater freedom and peace.

💬 Story 1: 🪞 “When I Subtracted the Things That Were Completely Filling My Mind”

By Ilyong Yoo / Age 48 / Level 1

At first, the meditation schedule was tight, and it was not easy to adapt easily.

After doing mind subtraction to my utmost best, I realized the fact that my own faults, wrongly harbored minds, a lot of stubbornness, pride, and greed completely filled my mind, and I learned that this ultimately produced wrong judgments and dark results.

Ultimately, the cause was myself, and it was a problem of my mind. Eventually getting to this situation, coming to this meditation, and doing mind subtraction, I found out the cause.

💬 Story 2: 💭 “I Could See Myself Judging and Hating Others”

By Eunkyung Heo / Age 30 / Level 2

During Level 2, through discarding my pictures and the pictures of relationships by eliminating myself, the thing that resonated most was that as I found and discarded the pictures of the minds of the people I hated, I could feel more deeply what kind of mind I had when dealing with them.

Only with a hateful mind… I could look back on myself having judged those people with that mind.

“I was also looking at them with a hateful mind, just without expressing it, whereas they just expressed it.”

I was blaming them while looking at them with such a mind, and making them out to be bad people for my own benefit.

I could see myself… liking them when they were nice to me, and hating them when they made a displeased face.

In this fake mind world I created, I was continuously dragging them into my mind while repeatedly building and destroying my mind.

“While subtracting, I learned how joyful and happy it is to live without a mind, escaping pain and stress, and living with the universe mind.”

I am so, so grateful for this method.

Going on to the next Level is not what’s important; I want to definitely achieve human completion and feel greater freedom with the universe mind, and I will do this meditation diligently in the future.

Thank you ^^

🌱 NEXT STEPS: Stop Judging Others and Begin Looking Within

Do you find yourself repeatedly criticizing others, holding on to resentment, or feeling frustrated when people don’t behave as you expect? These emotional reactions can become exhausting, especially when we don’t recognize the thoughts behind them.

Mind subtraction meditation offers a systematic way to reflect on accumulated memories, judgments, and negative emotions. As these two practitioners discovered, recognizing our own mental patterns can be a meaningful step toward releasing resentment, understanding others, and finding greater inner freedom.
