💬 Story: 🕰️ “Getting Angry and Annoyed in Daily Life Has Significantly Decreased”

By Hong Seong-young / Age 51 / Level 7

Due to an illness (depression) that started in my mid-20s, my life became so shrunken and miserable that I wandered around looking for many treatment methods. I received many treatments including Western medicine, Oriental medicine, and folk remedies, but I wasn’t easily cured. Just when I thought I was getting a bit better, relapses upon relapses occurred, making my life incredibly difficult. Then, by chance while talking with an acquaintance, I was recommended to try this meditation, so I immediately registered at the local center and started.

Through Level 1, I was able to look back on how I have lived from birth until now. My strict grandfather always scolded my father and me, making it impossible for us to even speak properly. I realized that what piled up step by step since then birthed my present self.

“Diligently looking back at my life over and over, I was magically surprised to realize that the universe is me. I realized I no longer hated my strict grandfather and my father who was trapped beneath him, but felt grateful instead. I was surprised to see that I had truly changed like this.”

As I added Levels, I felt nothing but gratitude for everything, and by putting myself in the other person’s shoes in daily life, getting angry and annoyed decreased significantly. Now I am grateful for depression and swear to continue this meditation persistently going forward.
