📖 Introduction
Many of us try our best to live kindly, considering ourselves decent people who are doing our best to navigate life. Yet, despite our efforts, we often find ourselves tormented, exhausted, and deeply depressed. We carry hidden stories and emotions, constantly worrying and suffering in a heavy, stressful world created entirely by our own minds. We believe our stress, our identities, and our pain are absolute reality. But what happens when you finally realize that the ‘you’ who is suffering is actually just a collection of false mental pictures and delusions?
In this post, two practitioners share their liberating journeys to true freedom. A 20-year-old shares how she realized her constant torment and depression were merely products of a fake mind, leading her to discover her true, infinite nature. Meanwhile, a 40-year-old reflects on the profound realization that her “decent” self was actually a delusion, and shares the incredible freedom that came when those hidden emotions completely disappeared.
Read their inspiring stories to see how mind subtraction can free you from the heavy delusions of your mind and reveal your true, original nature.
💬 Story 1: 🌌 “Realizing My True Nature”
By Mirim Jang / Age 20 / Level 1
Seeing the things I went through, thoughts, and stories I didn’t know about come up, I was able to look back on myself, thinking, ‘Ah, I was like this.’
“I realized that the reason I was so tormented, struggling, always exhausted, and depressed was because I had been living in the fake world of my mind that I created.”
I realized that the ‘me’ I think of is not the real ‘me’, but the ‘me’ created by my mind, such as this ‘me’ and that ‘me’ all this time. I realized that the original me is the universe. I learned that there is no need to be tormented, suffer, or always worry because of fake things. However, there are still things to discard, and I made a resolution to truly discard myself, to discard much more.

💬 Story 2: 🍃 “As Much As I Subtracted My Mind, It Definitely Disappeared and I Became Free”
By Jinsook Koo / Age 40 / Level 2
I tried to live kindly and thought I was a decent person in my own way, but I realize that was all my delusion.
“I feel like I shouldn’t live with the minds I’ve harbored so far, and I want to live with the true mind as the universe mind through this mind subtraction method.”
As much as I subtracted my mind, I am thankful that those emotions definitely disappeared and I became free.
