Welcome back to the Santa Clara Meditation blog! ๐ฑ
Preparing for graduation and stepping into the professional world can be an incredibly stressful time for college students. The pressure of interviews, resumes, and building career paths often brings a heavy load of anxiety. To address this, an innovative approach was taken by a nursing college to help their students find inner strength and confidence.
Today, we are sharing a wonderful story about how Chung-Ang University College of Nursing utilized the power of meditation to support their students’ career journeys!
โ๏ธ The ‘Employment Confidence Mind & Skill UP Camp’
Chung-Ang University College of Nursing held a special event called the ‘Employment Confidence Mind & Skill UP Camp’, deeply rooted in Mind Subtraction meditation, to help their third-year students with their career and employment preparation.
A total of 100 third-year nursing students from Chung-Ang University participated in this transformative camp. It was conducted as an intensive 14-hour program spanning two days, organized across two sessions:
- First Camp: December 19โ20, 2019
- Second Camp: February 6โ7, 2020

๐ก Why Combine Meditation with Employment Preparation?
Because nursing students begin their practical employment processesโsuch as submitting resumes and attending demanding interviewsโfrom the very beginning of their fourth year, the Chung-Ang University College of Nursing has been conducting employment support programs for third-year students at the end of every year.
However, they realized that practical skills alone weren’t enough. A representative from Chung-Ang University explained the beautiful reason for introducing meditation into the program:
“While contemplating how we could more effectively help our students, we deeply realized that mental preparation is the most important thing of all.”
๐ป Glowing Reviews from the Nursing Students
The results of combining career preparation with Mind Subtraction meditation were truly inspiring. Chung-Ang University nursing students who participated in the camp left heartfelt reviews about their experiences:
- “It was a more meaningful and profound time than I had expected. Through meditation, I was able to discover aspects of myself that I didn’t know and could refine myself to be stronger.”
- “At first, I wondered what meditation had to do with employment and interviews. However, the most important thing, in the end, was to discard anxiety and worry and look back on myself. By emptying my mind, I was able to find my true self and gained confidence for future interviews.”
When you clear your mind of worries and anxieties, your true confidence naturally shines through. We hope this inspiring case encourages more students and professionals to discover the power of Mind Subtraction meditation for their own career journeys! โจ
