📖 Introduction

Have you ever been told that “everything depends on how you make up your mind,” only to find that actually changing your mindset feels impossible? For many of us, trying to force a positive attitude or resolve to stop worrying only lasts a few days before the baseless anxiety, overthinking, and sleepless nights creep back in. We struggle to control our emotions because we are fighting against thoughts that are deeply rooted in our minds. But what if the solution isn’t trying to change your mind, but simply subtracting it?

In this post, two practitioners share how discovering a surprisingly easy meditation method transformed their inner struggles. A 22-year-old shares how he finally found relief from his confusing, unsubstantial worries, allowing him to sleep comfortably and control his sudden emotional spikes. Meanwhile, a 47-year-old explains her shock at realizing why forcing herself to “make up her mind” never worked, and how simply subtracting her mind instantly cleared away a year’s worth of tormenting thoughts.

Read their inspiring stories to discover how emptying the mind can be a profound yet remarkably easy way to clear your anxiety and find lasting peace.

💬 Story 1: “Baseless anxiety and unsubstantial worries are cleared up”

By Nam Min-seok / Age 22 / Level 1

Before actually coming, I was beyond complicated, I was confused. I had more thoughts than necessary, and there were many sleepless nights due to baseless anxiety and unsubstantial worries.

“However, after coming to the Main Center of this meditation and meditating, my murky mind cleared up in many aspects, I became able to control the emotions that suddenly rise up, and I became able to sleep comfortably every night.”

I want to express my gratitude to this meditation center for teaching me the method to empty my mind. Thank you.

💬 Story 2: “An easy meditation method, I wondered ‘Is it okay to be this easy?’”

By Ji-hyun / Age 47 / Level 1

“Everything depends on how you make up your mind” is a saying I’ve heard until my ears hurt. However, “making up my mind” or “changing my mind” was not easy. Even if I made a very resolute decision, it would only last three days or wouldn’t go very far in the end.

On the first day of starting this meditation, I was shocked. I seemed to understand the reason why it didn’t work even though I had made up my mind, changed it, resolved, and when it didn’t work, tried again… and again for so many days.

“Mind subtraction… It was such an easy meditation method for me that I wondered, ‘Is it okay to be this easy?’ If you subtract the mind, you can see all the minds hidden behind it, and the universe mind gradually fills up.”

To think that the universe mind reveals itself in the place where my mind was subtracted… The thoughts that tormented me for a year were discarded in an instant like a lie. I want to devote myself even harder to the practice.
