πŸ“– Introduction

When we are weighed down by the heavy pictures of our past, life often feels like an exhausting struggle. We find ourselves constantly anxious, carrying the burden of old memories anywhere and everywhere, trapped in a human mind world instead of truly living in the present. We wonder why we are always tired, why we cannot seem to live our own lives, and why everything feels so heavy. But what happens when you finally realize that the pictures you’ve been carrying around are completely meaninglessβ€”and that discarding them reveals an infinite, joyful universe mind?

In this post, two young practitioners share their incredible first steps toward true freedom. A 23-year-old describes the euphoric realization of discovering his true nature, feeling as happy as if he had gained the entire world. Meanwhile, a 17-year-old student shares a profound week-long awakening, realizing why she was always exhausted and experiencing the simple miracle of being alive.

Read their inspiring stories to see how mind subtraction lifts the heavy baggage of the past and fills your heart with overwhelming gratitude and joy.

πŸ’¬ Story 1: ✨ “I Am As Happy As If I Have Everything in the World”

By Choi Hyeong-gwon / Age 23 / Level 1

At first, I didn’t even really know if it was being discarded. As I acknowledged discarding with my mind just as guided here, and as it started being discarded through acknowledging and accepting, I came to know the original me, the mind of the universe that remains even if I disappear.

“I felt so good and as happy as if I had truly gained everything in the world. Also, realizing that the ‘me’ who holds an illusory mind is fake, I will definitely discard all of myself and see this practice through to the end.”

πŸ’¬ Story 2: 🌿 “I Thank My Mother Who Recommended This”

By Oh Yes / Age 17 / Level 1

While doing this meditation for a week, I realized why I was always exhausted and struggling, why I was living in a human mind world tied to the past instead of living in the present world, why I was always anxious and had a heavy heart, and why I couldn’t live my own life.

I felt that the countless pictures of my lived life that I took over 17 years, the heavy pictures I carried around anytime and anywhere thinking they had meaning, were actually meaningless and rather harmful to living in the world. As I discarded, discarded, and discarded again the pictures in the mind world full of pictures, I felt the mind of the universe. In terms of levels, it is a small beginning, but it was the greatest beginning out of the countless beginnings I have made so far.

“Just being able to see with my eyes, smell with my nose, eat with my mouth, hear with my ears, feel with my skin, and the fact that a person is alive felt like a miracle.”

I am grateful for the inevitability that allowed me to come here, grateful for the method of discarding the mind, grateful to the guide teachers, to the cleaners, to the people who cooked, to my peers who spent Level 1 with me, and I thank my mother who recommended this place to me.
