π Introduction
When we reach a certain point in life, having tasted both the sweetness and bitterness of our experiences, we often look back and feel a profound sense of meaninglessness. We realize that much of our past was spent wanting to show off, making mistakes, causing harm to others, and carrying a mountain of shameful or foolish memories. We live trapped inside the narrow, suffocating confines of our own mindsβmuch like a chick trapped inside an eggshell, completely cut off from the real world. We feel lethargic, heavy, and exhausted by our own fake creations. But what happens when you finally learn a method to discard those illusions and crack open that shell?
In this post, two practitioners share their deeply moving awakenings. A 41-year-old woman describes how realizing that life’s joys and sorrows were entirely fake turned discarding into an exciting, grateful practice that instantly dissolved her lethargy. Meanwhile, a 55-year-old man shares a powerful metaphor of breaking through his mental eggshell to finally taste and experience the real world.
Read their inspiring stories to see how mind subtraction frees you from your mental prison and reveals the true, original universe.
π¬ Story 1: β¨ “Discarding the Mind Makes Me Thankful and Excited”
By Ahn Hye-ran / Age 41 / Level 1
Turning 41, it felt like I had tasted all the sweetness and bitterness of life, and life began to feel so meaningless. That was when I came to practice, and as I learned through the discarding method that all those joys and sorrows of life were fakes in my mind, I realized it was only natural for life to feel meaningless. Discarding became something I was thankful for and excited about.
“Looking back on the life I lived, it was so shameful, foolish, and dull, and there wasn’t a single thing worth using. Within it, I wanted to show off, wanted to try things, made mistakes, caused harm to others… there was really nothing but things I wanted to discard.”
When I realized that it was fake and truly didn’t exist, it discarded well according to the method. As it was discarded in an instant and I realized that only the universe, the original existence, remained, tears fell from a heart so grateful. There was just the universe, but the fake me that didn’t exist struggled so much. It really feels like I missed out on so many things in the past.
I sincerely thank you for the method. I will discard the false me entirely and keep discarding to the end until only the mind of the universe remains. T H A N K Y O U.

π¬ Story 2: π£ “I Was Deeply Moved by the People Doing This Meditation”
By Shin Jae-hyeon / Age 55 / Level 1
I came to the Main Center through the introduction of an acquaintance. Perhaps because the site is an auspicious spot, it is cozy, and I sleep very well at night. The people doing this meditation are truly remarkable. I was deeply moved.
“Living inside the world of my mind, inside an eggshell, I was unable to come out and live in the real world. However, while doing Level 1 this week, I believe I have cracked the shell with my own beak. I make a firm resolution and vow that I will inevitably break that shell.”
I want to taste and feel the real world, not the world of my mind, and I want to dry my wet down feathers and walk around. I will always face the illusory mind directly and live constantly discarding it. I will boldly devote myself until the day my original intention is maintained from start to finish and true eternal bliss is achieved. Thank you.
