πŸ“– Introduction

When we face mental exhaustion or emotional pain, the most common advice we receive is to “just change your mindset” or “think positive.” We try to force ourselves to look on the bright side, but that underlying heavy feeling rarely goes away. Why? Because the root causeβ€”the demanding inner child or the deep-seated past traumaβ€”is still there. Trying to just change your mindset without removing the root cause is like putting a bandage over an embedded thorn.

In this post, two individuals share their profound experiences of discovering a truly fundamental solution. One realized that despite growing older, her inner mind was still a struggling child holding onto endless demands. The other discovered that mind subtraction goes far beyond simply trying to think positively, describing the immense relief as finally pulling out a hidden thorn from her heart.

Read their stories to see how discarding the mind’s root causes brings an unprecedented level of peace and clarity.

πŸ’¬ Story 1: 🧸 “Knowing Why I Lived So Strugglingly, I Think I Can Fix It”

By Jandi-balpja / Age 21 / Level 1

Meditating made me look back on myself again. Inside, I was a young child who possessed all kinds of minds. As I got older, my body aged and I thought a lot, but my mind remained the same as in my childhoodβ€”no, I only wanted more things. I started to see that version of myself that I had lived without knowing until now, and I began to discard that mind.

“Now, as I discard that mind, I gradually understand why I had lived such a hard life, and I also feel that I can fix it.”

There hasn’t been a visibly noticeable change yet, but my mind has become much more comfortable. I think this meditation is amazing the more I do it. I am glad to have met a very good practice.

πŸ’¬ Story 2: 🌿 “A Fundamental Solution Beyond Just Changing My Mindset”

By Jeon Hyun-sook / Age 44 / Level 1

I didn’t think subtracting the mind was possible. But as I did it once, twice, three times… I found that it really is possible.

“There was something slightly different from simply changing my mindset. The feeling of pulling out something fundamental inside my mind. (Should I say it’s like pulling out an embedded thorn…)”

I felt refreshed, calm, and peaceful.
