πŸ“– Introduction

We often go through life believing that our judgments, conflicts, and stressful thoughts are just a natural part of reality. But what if the world we are struggling in is actually an illusion created by our own minds? What if all our inner conflicts, arrogant thoughts, and desires for recognition are merely part of a “one-night dream”?

In this post, two young adults share their profound realizations after practicing mind subtraction. They discovered that they had been living in a self-centered mind world filled with pretense and judgment.

Read their honest stories to see how waking up from this illusion allowed them to resolve their conflicts, discard their false selves, and finally meet their true, authentic selves.

πŸ’¬ Story 1: πŸŒ™ “Now I Know Why They Say Life is Like a One-Night Dream”

By Kwon Ra-im / Age 20 / Level 1

Doing Level 1 for 2 weeks, I could discover myself changing positively day by day. As my mind became comfortable, I always smiled, and my wandering thoughts disappeared. At first, because it was the world I had lived in until now, it was hard to think of all those things as pictures of the mind. But as I discarded them one by one, I finally understood that I had been living in a mind-picture world and was taking pictures looking at things with an egocentric mind in every moment.

“Good people, people I dislikedβ€”everything I had defined originated purely from pictures, and I felt that I was truly pathetic for thinking however I wanted and struggling because of it.”

Obsession with family, the desire for recognition, and even when helping others, there was no mind that genuinely cared for that person.

As I continue doing this meditation, I want to find the true me and discard the selfish me. Living in the world of my mind has no purpose or meaning, and I hope many people realize it is merely a one-night dream and escape from there.

πŸ’¬ Story 2: πŸ’Ž “Looking Back at Myself and the Most Valuable Enlightenment in the World”

By Lee Seung-jun / Age 23 / Level 7

Hello? It has already been 6 months since I started this meditation. Truthfully, I had lived with a lot of judgment and arguments. Due to judging right and wrong, conflicts arose with my parents, and my relationships with friends were not good. Looking back at myself, I deceived myself and lived turning my back, and because of my arrogant self, I negatively listened to others’ thoughts.

My enlightenment through this meditation has become the most valuable thing in this world. It changed me and made me a true person. I am now ashamed of my old, long-standing self that lived bound to this land. I was surprised that making money and studying all came from my selfish mind.

“Until now, I thought I was living a giving life like Jesus, but closing my eyes and repenting to myself, my past self was all pretense. Now I see my true self, not a life lived in pretense.”

A side of me that genuinely wants to care for people has started to emerge from within. Because I know the true me, I am no longer shaken.

I am only filled with the desire to live for the world with the mind of the world. I don’t want to speak any more about the old dream world that was inside my mind. Because there was nothing but me shouting that I was great, I want to cast off this shameful me and live as my true self.

Along with the happiness of having met the true mind, I want to continue living with the true mind. Now, my job is not to live in the world for myself, but to live in the world for the sake of the world with the true mind. I thank the method that allows me to discard the fake me that truly must be discarded.
