A serene conceptual image showing a person letting go of a mask, finding peace and healing past wounds through meditation

📖 Introduction

Many of us go through life wearing a mask, exhausting ourselves by pretending to be perfect, kind, or unaffected by the world around us. We crave validation and praise, so we endure unpleasant situations with a forced smile. But beneath that surface, complaints, jealousy, and anger quietly pile up. At the same time, we carry hidden wounds, guilt, and regrets from the past that subtly drain our vitality and make us anxious about the future. What if you could finally drop the act, release those heavy emotions, and just be your true, peaceful self?

In this post, two practitioners share the immense relief of letting go of their heavy minds. A 51-year-old explains the profound freedom of no longer having to fake being kind, watching their deep-seated jealousy and anger melt away. Another practitioner shares how discarding memories resolved their subconscious wounds and guilt, completely erasing their anxiety about the future.

Read their stories to see how mind subtraction can help you stop pretending, heal your hidden wounds, and restore your natural vitality and peace of mind.

💬 Story 1: ✨ “Now I Don’t Have to Pretend Anymore”

By Lee San-ok / Age 51 / Level 1

To hide my shortcomings, I lived pretending to be kind, pretending to be a good person. Satisfied with people pointing at me and praising me for being kind, I endured hard and unpleasant things to pretend to be even kinder, and spent my time pretending to be kinder.

Complaints gradually piled up inside me, and when I saw people better than me, envy and jealousy piled up. I would easily get angry over small things, take out my difficult feelings on my children, and live blaming others. I am grateful that I no longer have to pretend, to fake being kind.

💬 Story 2: 🌙 “The Wounds I Received Without Realizing Were Healed”

By Anonymous / Level 1

The heavy minds I had before coming to this meditation have become much lighter. Through the practice of discarding the minds about past events, I resolved the wounds, regrets, and guilt I had received without realizing it, and I think it was a valuable time to look back at myself and reflect.

Personally, I had feelings of being lost and anxious about how to live my life going forward. This was hard to discard even until the end, but with the help of the guides, I was able to discard it. I completely discarded the emotions that made me struggle until the end, and realized that all the things I worried about and struggled with were really nothing. Above all, I am glad to have regained peace of mind and vitality in life.
