📖 Introduction

Graduating from college is supposed to be an exciting milestone, but for many young adults, it brings overwhelming uncertainty. What kind of career should I pursue? How should I live my life? Am I confident enough to succeed in the real world? As graduation approaches, these questions can create anxiety, self-doubt, and a growing fear of the future.

For people who have always considered themselves shy or introverted, the pressure can feel even greater. Past failures, uncomfortable social experiences, and negative memories may reinforce the belief that something is fundamentally wrong with their personality. Over time, these thoughts can become so deeply rooted that changing oneself seems almost impossible.

But what if your personality isn’t as fixed as you believe? What if the memories and judgments that make you feel inadequate are not your true identity?

In this inspiring meditation testimonial, a 25-year-old college student shares a journey of self-discovery during a turning point in life. Facing graduation with uncertainty about the future and struggling with a lack of confidence, the student decided to explore mind subtraction meditation. Through self-reflection, Knulp began recognizing how accumulated memories and negative self-perceptions had shaped everyday behavior and emotional reactions.

Although still in the early stages of meditation, this experience brought a new understanding of the mind, greater hope for personal transformation, and excitement about continuing the journey toward discovering the true self.

Read this heartfelt story to discover how letting go of negative self-beliefs can open new possibilities for confidence, personal growth, and a meaningful future.

💬 Story: 🌱 “I Thought I Needed a Change Ahead of Graduation”

By Knulp / Age 25 / Level 1

Approaching my expected college graduation, my mind was confused, and I had many worries about what kind of work I should do and how I should live. I thought I needed some kind of change.

So, I remembered meditation, which I had always been interested in and wanted to learn at least once. I looked up where I could learn meditation. It was my first time knowing there were such meditation organizations in Korea.

Among them, I heard that this meditation was the most credible and effective, so I visited this meditation center. Located near Gyeryongsan Mountain, the air was good, and for some reason, I felt good. Doing this meditation like that, I felt many things.

First of all, I lacked confidence and was introverted, so if things didn’t work out well, I blamed my personality.

Such incidents kept getting imprinted in my mind and brain, and those memories made it even harder for me.

“But while doing this meditation, I realized that the memories in my mind and brain were false. I realized that I was simply bound by the images I had taken.”

And I learned that by discarding those memories, you approach the pure mind that humans originally had, and if you discard everything, you can have the infinite mind of the universe.

Since it’s still Level 1, I haven’t attained complete enlightenment, but I am so happy that I feel I have somewhat realized the principles of this world and the universe.

I look forward to what enlightenment I will gain in Level 2, and I highly recommend it to those who feel they need a change in themselves, seek the truth, and wish to always stay awake.

Thank you to this meditation and the method that allows me to discard the fake me.

🌱 NEXT STEPS: Let Go of Self-Doubt and Embrace Your Next Chapter

Are you approaching graduation, starting a new career, or entering an unfamiliar stage of life? Perhaps you feel uncertain about your future or believe that your introverted personality, past mistakes, or lack of confidence will prevent you from achieving your goals.

When we repeatedly define ourselves through past experiences, those memories can influence how we approach new opportunities. We may hesitate to try unfamiliar things, avoid challenges, or assume that our personality will never change.

Mind subtraction meditation offers a systematic method of reflecting on the mental pictures accumulated throughout life and practicing the process of letting them go. By recognizing how past memories and self-judgments influence our thoughts, we can begin to explore a different perspective on ourselves.

As Knulp’s experience illustrates, personal transformation does not necessarily require changing everything about your external circumstances. Sometimes, meaningful change begins by questioning the beliefs that have limited your confidence and sense of possibility.

Whether you are preparing to graduate, considering a career change, or simply searching for a clearer direction in life, self-reflection can be a valuable starting point.

Your past experiences do not have to determine your future. Discover the possibility of moving forward with a lighter mind, greater confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose.
