School administrative staff participating in Mind Subtraction education for stress management and self-reflection

School administrative staff play an essential role in keeping schools running smoothly.

Behind every classroom, teacher, student, and school program, there are staff members managing countless administrative responsibilities. Their work often requires accuracy, patience, communication, and the ability to handle many tasks at once.

Because of this, stress management and emotional well-being are especially important for school administrative staff.

A training program held at Gimpo Sau Elementary School offered a meaningful opportunity for administrative staff in the Gimpo area to reflect, let go of stress, and reconnect with a deeper sense of happiness.

On December 29, 2014, a โ€œSelf-Reflection: Mind Subtractionโ€ training was conducted at Sau Elementary School in Gimpo, Gyeonggi Province.

The program was organized to help school administrative staff manage stress and develop a greater sense of inner peace and happiness through Mind Subtraction.

๐ŸŒฑ SUPPORTING THE PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT SCHOOLS

The training was designed as a customized seven-hour session from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

It was created for administrative staff who handle a wide range of school-related duties.

Although administrative work may happen behind the scenes, it has a direct impact on the overall school environment.

When staff members are overwhelmed, stressed, or emotionally burdened, it can affect communication, efficiency, and the atmosphere of the school.

For this reason, the training focused not only on job performance, but also on the inner well-being of the people doing the work.

The program proceeded in the following order:

โ€ข Knowing the Mind
โ€ข Mind Subtraction
โ€ข Mind-Body Healing
โ€ข Physical Relaxation

Through this structure, participants had time to understand the mind, practice letting go, and experience healing in both mind and body.

๐Ÿ” KNOWING THE MIND

The lecture on โ€œKnowing the Mindโ€ was conducted by Instructor Lee Seok-jeong, the head guide for Course 1 at the Ma-eum Su-ryun Main Center.

During the lecture, he explained that people live not simply by their bodies, but by the minds they carry.

This idea helped participants look at stress from a deeper perspective.

In daily life, stress may seem to come from external situations such as workload, schedules, responsibilities, communication issues, or unexpected problems.

However, the lecture encouraged participants to examine how the mind itself is formed and how it influences thoughts, emotions, behavior, and reactions.

Instructor Lee explained the principles of how the mind is created, what its true nature is, and how it affects oneโ€™s life.

For many participants, this perspective was new and refreshing.

๐Ÿ’™ LETTING GO OF SELF-CENTERED AND NEGATIVE MINDS

The training emphasized the importance of discarding self-centered and negative minds that cause stress.

When people hold onto worry, resentment, pressure, comparison, judgment, or fixed ideas, the mind becomes heavy.

This heaviness can make work feel more difficult and relationships more stressful.

Mind Subtraction offers a practical method to reflect on these inner patterns and let them go.

Through this process, people can begin to recover the fundamental mindโ€”the largest, widest, and freest mind that exists within every human being.

The lecture described the recovery of this original nature as a precious value that human beings should pursue.

When people recover this fundamental mind, life can become happier, lighter, and more meaningful.

๐ŸŒฟ PRACTICING MIND SUBTRACTION

After learning about the mind, participants were guided through the actual practice of Mind Subtraction.

This session gave them a specific method to discard the minds they had accumulated.

Rather than simply listening to ideas about stress management, participants had the opportunity to put self-reflection into practice.

They could look back on the minds that caused stress and discomfort and begin the process of letting them go.

For school administrative staff, this kind of practice can be especially helpful.

When the mind becomes lighter, daily work can feel less overwhelming.

When stress is reduced, communication can become smoother.

When negative thoughts are released, people can respond to situations with greater calmness and clarity.

๐Ÿง˜ MIND-BODY HEALING AND PHYSICAL RELAXATION

The program also included Mind-Body Healing through physical relaxation.

Stress is not only experienced in the mind. It is often stored in the body as tension, fatigue, stiffness, or discomfort.

Through physical relaxation, participants were able to experience a more complete sense of healing.

This part of the training helped them release tension and become more aware of the connection between the mind and body.

For people who spend long hours handling administrative work, this kind of relaxation can provide a meaningful reset.

It can help restore balance, calmness, and energy.

๐Ÿ’ฌ PARTICIPANTSโ€™ RESPONSES

The administrative staff who participated in the training responded positively.

Many shared that the lecture on the mind felt new and refreshing.

They also showed strong interest in the subtraction method because it offered a practical way to actually empty and discard the mind.

Their responses showed that the program was not only informative, but also personally meaningful.

By learning how the mind works and how to let go of stressful thoughts, participants were able to experience a different approach to well-being.

๐Ÿซ A HEALTHIER SCHOOL BEGINS WITH A HEALTHIER MIND

Schools are not supported by teachers and students alone.

Administrative staff are also a vital part of the school community.

When school staff members become calmer, lighter, and more peaceful within, the entire school environment can benefit.

Mind Subtraction education offers a practical way to support the people who support schools every day.

Through self-reflection, letting go, and mind-body healing, administrative staff can manage stress more effectively and reconnect with a deeper sense of happiness.

A peaceful mind can create better communication.

A lighter mind can create a healthier workplace.

And when the people behind the scenes are supported, the whole school can become a warmer and more balanced place.
