π Introduction
When relationships with our family members become strained, it is incredibly easy to point the finger outward. In the rush of a busy life, we rarely pause to look at our own behavior. Instead, we look at our spouses or our childrenβespecially teenagersβand think, “I just wish they would change.” We send them to camps, give them lectures, and wait for them to fix the problem. But what happens when you finally hit pause on your busy life, sit down, and realize that the person who actually needed to change was you?
In this post, two practitioners share the profound impact of simply taking a moment to stop and look inward. A 55-year-old discovers the power of stepping out of a rushed life to finally see the world from another’s perspective. Meanwhile, a 47-year-old father shares a humbling confession: after sending his teenage son to meditation camp hoping the boy would get “fixed,” he realized his own behavior as a father and husband was the real root of their family’s lost laughter.
Read their touching stories to see how pausing your busy life for true self-reflection is the ultimate key to restoring broken family bonds.
π¬ Story 1: βΈοΈ “Pausing My Busy Life for a Moment”
By Okrae Lee / Age 55 / Level 1
“It became an opportunity to pause the busy life I have lived and look back on myself. It is good because I feel like I will get a lot of practice thinking from another’s perspective.”
I am thankful to be able to see the world broadly and change my consciousness.

π¬ Story 2: π¨βπ¦ “A Good Opportunity to Look Back on What Kind of Dad I Was”
By Anonymous / Age 47 / Level 1
I participated in this Level to restore my relationship with my middle school sophomore son. Before I participated, I first sent my son to the youth camp, and the reason was primarily my wish that “I hope my son changes.”
“However, going through this Level, it was a good opportunity to look back on what kind of dad I was to my son in the past, and I felt a lot that I was definitely not a good dad. While recalling pictures of my mind regarding my son, I also got to see my behavior toward my wife, and I saw that I had lived doing a lot of wrong things as well.”
Completing this Level has become a good opportunity to become a different dad and husband than before. I will meditate hard so that I can improve too, and try to bring back the family that used to have a lot of laughter. Thank you to the helpers who helped me a lot.
