πŸ’¬ Story: ❓ “I Think I Know Who I Am Now”

By Park Song-hee / Age 38 / Level 7

It was when I was 7. Suddenly, I started having questions like, ‘Who am I, where did I come from, and what happens when I die?’ Living like that, the questions I had constantly wondered about popped into my head from time to time. Searching for happiness, I tried many things, wondering, ‘Where exactly is happiness?’ Thinking that working hard, getting super-fast promotions, and being recognized by others was happiness, I tried to do everything well to get recognition. I wanted to teach my children a happy life too, but I didn’t clearly know what a happy life actually was. If I achieved something after hard work, it was only good for that moment, and it began to fade as time passed.

Repeating lives like this, one day I started wandering to find that thing I had been curious about. So in July 2013, I took a leave of absence from work, stayed at a certain organization for about a month, and practiced according to their method. At that time, I was incredibly curious about who I was, the purpose of my birth, and what work I wanted to devote my passion to. So I practiced diligently. However, I found myself floundering even deeper inside concepts and customs I couldn’t escape from. The agony that came over me at that time is indescribable.

“The curiosity about where I go when I die wouldn’t leave my head, and I could only think that life is fleeting, so I must figure it out quickly before I die. As time passed, the condition of my body and mind gradually deteriorated, and my head found no meaning or purpose in anything other than being liberated from death.”

Mental illnesses like panic disorder, depression, lethargy, and insomnia all struck at once. I felt like I was going crazy. Even taking medication and trying any method, I couldn’t escape from it. Amidst that, I coincidentally searched for this meditation on the internet, and reading the posts and watching the testimonial videos on the homepage, something in my heart told me even more that this was the place I had been looking for. That very day, I went straight to the local center, consulted with the guide, and immediately started this meditation the next day.

They said that if I did it at the local center for a month, the questions about life I had been wondering about would be resolved, so all day at work, even after getting off work, and on the bus ride there, I literally discarded my mind as if my life depended on it. Then one day, while discarding the life I had lived on the bus to the local center, I started feeling a strange thrill in my mind, and the world seemed different somehow.

Tears started falling from my eyes, and I began to realize in my heart that the universe is me. I started feeling the whole world as me. Crying like that, even when I went to the local center, I poured all my strength into eliminating the mind-world I had built up until now, with continuous tears of emotion and gratitude.

“Then, this meditation gave me a huge gift equivalent to what I had discarded. What a miracle this is. The me who lived deceived and trapped inside my own mind, my life that was just a story in a dreamβ€”now I think I know who I am and how I should live moving forward.”

I sincerely thank the method of this meditation.
