Master Woo Myung poem Cloud I exploring non-existence, creation, and Truth

INTRODUCTION

๐ŸŒฅ๏ธ In this deeply metaphysical poem, Master Woo Myung speaks in the voice of non-existence itself โ€” the formless origin of all that exists.

He reveals that beyond the visible world, beyond creation and form, lies the master of all things โ€” the non-existent Truth. Though people live seeking meaning in clouds, dreams, or heaven, they do not realize that the source of all existence is the very non-existence they overlook.

โ€œCloud Iโ€ is a poetic reflection on the longing that brought the world into being, and a reminder that only by transcending the human image can one truly meet the infinite โ€” the formless master that is within and beyond all. ๐ŸŒŒ

ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

Cloud I

If you travel far away in a cloud,
you will find that no one exists in the cloud.
Though that non-existence is the master,
you search that non-existence.
Best be on your way;
make haste โ€“ do not give even a sideward glance,
for the cloud is where only non-existence dwells.

It is due to longing that I created the world.
Do not be envious of me in that
I am in the cloud.
Do not be envious of me in that
I created the cloud.
Do not be envious of me in that
I make its existence possible.
I am without an image,
but there is nothing that I am not.
There is no one in the world who knows
the me that is without an image.
I am the cloud but I do not hide;
I am on the cloud but I do not hide;
I make possible for the cloud to float but I do not hide.
It is pathetic that none of you know me.
You boast that you are the lord of all creations,
but it is meaningless.

โ€“ Woo Myung

REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION

At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners learn to look beyond visible form and realize the worldโ€™s true origin โ€” the non-existent Truth. ๐ŸŒซ๏ธ
Through mind-cleansing, one awakens to the understanding that what is invisible and formless is the true master of all creation.
Just as a cloud floats by the unseen wind, so too does the Universe exist by the unseen Truth.
In this realization, longing dissolves, and one lives as the infinite existence beyond image. ๐ŸŒค๏ธ
