π‘ INTRODUCTION
Master Woo Myung explains the true nature of human suffering: we are confined by our own minds. The accumulated moods and emotional residues from our past experiences form our karma, which acts as a heavy burden. This invisible weight restricts our freedom, trapping us in a self-made mental prison. To achieve true liberation, experience lasting freedom, and return to Truth, we must break free from these inner restrictions and completely let go of the past.

π EXCERPT FROM βRESTRICTIONSβ BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
βMinds make people suffer, because minds are a continuation of the mood of the life one lived. The mood of his life becomes his karma. Karma is a type of burden; and burden is a restriction of freedom; and restriction is a kind of confinement. Confinement is the opposite of freedomβ it is to be bound within something. These things are karma and burdens of the mind. All people must be liberated and return to where they should be, in order to go towards Truth.β
β REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION
At Santa Clara Meditation, we understand how exhausting it is to live confined by the heavy burdens of the past. The anxieties, grudges, and lingering moods you carry are not your true selfβthey are simply accumulated karma acting as an invisible cage. Through our guided method of subtraction, you can systematically discard these mental burdens. As you empty your mind of the past and the karma that restricts you, you experience true liberation. By breaking free from the confinement of the false mind, you awaken to the boundless, original freedom of Truth.
