📖 EXCERPT BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

“Heaven, earth and man are one; heaven, earth and man exist in one’s mind. […]

When there is no self, one exists but he is not separate from the Universe. […] When all things have no minds and are without individual selves, all things are one, and all things live eternally.”

🌱 REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION

At Santa Clara Meditation, we often listen to people describe a deep sense of isolation—feeling disconnected from the world, from nature, and even from their own true purpose. Master Woo Myung explains that this profound loneliness is an illusion created by the false self. Because we live inside our own constructed mind world—which he describes as a “demon’s house” built from our lifelong habits and karma—we perceive ourselves as entirely separate from the vast Universe around us.

Through our step-by-step subtraction method, you are finally given the practical way to break down these walls of separation. By actively discarding your accumulated mind, deeply ingrained habits, and the illusion of an individual self, the heavy boundaries that isolate you simply vanish. As this false mind is emptied, you naturally return to the origin of the Universe. In this awakened state of true emptiness, you realize the ultimate union: you are within the Universe, the Universe is within you, and you exist eternally as one with heaven, earth, and all things.
