🌌 The Sky Is the Stage and the Creations Are the Actors: Becoming the Master of All Creation | Master Woo Myung | Santa Clara Meditation

💡 INTRODUCTION

Master Woo Myung uses the profound metaphors of a blank piece of paper and an empty stage to explain the eternal origin of the Universe. While all creations and worldly experiences temporarily come and go like actors or drawings, the original foundation—the empty sky—remains forever. By erasing the false illusions of the self, one can be reborn as this eternal origin and become the true master of all creation.

📖 EXCERPT BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

“Many things may come and go in the empty space of the sky, but the sky always just exists. […]

All creations on earth are drawings—everything is a drawing. When those drawings do not exist, only the origin—the paper—remains. When I am reborn as the paper, I am the master of all creation. I am the origin, for I am reborn within myself, and I am the master, because I am reborn within myself.”

🌱 REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION

At Santa Clara Meditation, we often see people completely consumed by the temporary roles they play and the fleeting situations they face. Master Woo Myung explains that all of these worldly experiences are simply temporary actors on a stage, or drawings sketched onto a blank piece of paper. Because we live entirely inside our self-constructed mind worlds, we mistakenly believe these temporary drawings are our absolute reality, leading to endless stress, attachment, and suffering when they inevitably change.

Through our step-by-step subtraction method, you have the practical ability to actively erase these false illusions. By discarding your accumulated karma, ingrained habits, and the false ego, you eliminate the temporary “drawings” of your human mind. As these fading images disappear, only the eternal, unchanging origin—the blank paper, or the infinite empty sky of the Universe—remains. When you are reborn as this original foundation, you no longer just play a fleeting, anxious role. You become the true, eternal master of your existence, living in absolute peace regardless of what comes and goes.
