Have you ever known someone who speaks about goodness but acts otherwise? π€ In this insightful teaching, Master Woo Myung reveals why people fail to live by their wordsβbecause of the false mind filled with delusions.
Words and actions are often at odds in the human world, but Godβs actions are always aligned with His Word, because He is Truth. When people discard their false selves through Santa Clara Meditation, they can also live in perfect harmony between word and deed.
β¨ This is the Age of Completion, where humanity becomes Truth, and where actions are not separate from words. It is the beginning of a fulfilled, truthful worldβa world where everyone practices what they preach.
Practicing What You Preach
There is an old Korean saying
that though one may know water which is ten yards deep,
one cannot know a single inch into a manβs mind.
What this means is that
manβs mind changes morning and night,
for he has a self-centered mind.
In the morning, he says he will go this way,
but by nightfall, he changes his mind;
he does this because there is no Truth in him.
Man has delusions,
and because of them,
he has thoughts.
Manβs thoughts are acted out according to
what his delusions dictate.
The acts of manβs thoughts are not righteous;
such acts are not the same as oneβs words.
We frequently see people join religions and then leave them,
citing the clergyβs unrighteous actions as being
the reason for their departure;
in other words, they do not practice what they preach.
Only God can practice what He preaches.
God does not have such a mind
and is thus able to act for Himself when needed;
His Word and His actions are not separate.
Godβs actions are Truth just as they are
and so He acts accordingly.
To practice what you preach means
your thoughts cannot be separated from your actions
but that you act exactly according to the Word.
When you no longer have your delusional self inside you,
your thoughts will not go one way
while your actions go another;
the one doing the actions would be God
and thus you would act accordingly.
A person who has become Truth will act
but will have done nothing.
Furthermore, his mind and his actions would not be separate.
The age has come in which
everyone will act just as their word
and will become complete.
The age of completion is one in which
everyone will live as Truth;
it is the age in which only reality will remain
so that everything will be fulfilled according to this reality.
To be fulfilled means
to be complete and to be Truth.
The world will be a perfect place
where the Word and actions are one.
Now is the age of actions,
in which these actions are real
and will thus remain.
