📖 Introduction

When life feels stressful, suffocating, and deeply unsatisfactory, our most natural instinct is to run away. We book flights, travel overseas, or constantly change our environments in a desperate search for “great freedom” and healing. We believe that if we just go far enough away, we can leave our stress and inferiority complexes behind. But no matter how far we travel, we always end up packing our own heavy minds and bringing them with us. What happens when you finally stop running away and start looking inward?

In this post, two individuals share their incredible journeys of finding profound peace right where they are. A 51-year-old who arrived at meditation full of resistance and doubt was shocked to discover how much hidden mental baggage they were carrying. Meanwhile, a 32-year-old who spent years fleeing overseas in search of freedom finally discovered the ultimate answer to life—realizing that true stability comes from discarding the self-centered mind, not from changing locations.

Read their transformative stories to see how emptying the mind provides the lasting healing and true freedom that running away never could.

💬 Story 1: 🧳 “I Was Surprised to Find So Many Thoughts Discarded Without Me Realizing It”

By Dolto / Age 51 / Level 1

I came to this meditation not of my own will but someone else’s, so I didn’t arrive with a bright attitude. During the first day’s meditation, I even felt resistance to an approach that was so different from myself. I couldn’t properly know the mind of the universe, and having no prior knowledge, it felt so unfamiliar.

However, through the helper’s explanation and effort, I understood, and now I think I know.

“As I discarded and discarded my mind, so many thoughts and minds came out and were discarded without me realizing it, that I was unconsciously startled.”

Doing the emptying in the daily meditation, I truly get a somewhat refreshed feeling, and I feel unburdened.

💬 Story 2: 🌍 “I Found the Answer to Life in This Meditation”

By Song Hye-geun / Age 32 / Level 8

My life, which I had lived centered on myself, couldn’t help but always be unsatisfactory. To find a great freedom I didn’t even know or had never experienced, I always went further away on trips, went on study tours, and even worked overseas in places far from my people, constantly running away without even knowing why I was doing it. Continuing such a meaningless life, I found the answer to life in this meditation, which I sought purely for healing purposes to relieve the stress from work life.

It was this meditation method composed of a way anyone can understand and follow, but having lived so stubbornly and closed off, I couldn’t even trust that, so I continued this meditation longer and with more difficulty than others. However, despite being like that, as that “me” was discarded and disappeared, I gradually changed into a comfortable figure becoming one with the original world.

“Now it’s okay even if I don’t earn money, study, or meet outstanding people to fill my inferiority complex, and even if I don’t constantly run away overseas to find great freedom.”

I am endlessly grateful for this much peace and stability that has been granted to me too.
