📖 Introduction
Chronic stress doesn’t just exhaust the mind; it physically breaks down the body. When we live with a constant sense of unfairness, carrying the weight of the world on our shoulders, our nervous system stays in a perpetual state of tension. Over time, this extreme anxiety manifests as severe insomnia, pushing many to rely heavily on sleep inducers and tranquilizers just to survive the night. But what happens when you finally address the root cause of that stress?
In this post, two individuals share their incredible journeys from chronic tension to deep, healing peace. One found a shocking sense of calm equanimity after a lifetime of complaints and anger, while the other miraculously recovered from eight months of severe insomnia, finally throwing away her psychiatric medications.
Read their powerful stories to see how emptying the mind can heal both a battered body and an exhausted soul.
💬 Story 1: 🌪️ “All the Suffering in the World Threatened Me”
By Ilbaekil / Age 48 / Level 1
All the suffering in the whole world threatened me as if it were all mine, binding me in the shackles of life. I think I always started and ended my days with tension, a sense of unfairness, and surging anger.
The thought that “it has to be me” was deeply rooted in my heart, so I think I lived my life leading the way while constantly venting complaints and dissatisfaction. Looking back at myself objectively at this point, I felt that everything was in my mind. Why did I only trust myself so much, and why did I go through such a hard time… I feel a great sense of regret and pity for the lost time.
“I didn’t have high expectations that my mind would find such calm equanimity, but the result gives me a frighteningly powerful thrill. I sincerely thank you.”
“Emptying the mind” is truly more concise and clear than any other expression, but I shouldn’t consider it something easily obtained. I will not forget this mind! This resolution! of this very moment. It has become a turning point in my life. Thank you~

💬 Story 2: 💊 “Quitting Sleep Inducers and Tranquilizers”
By Joy / Age 56 / Level 1
I have regrets and wish I had known about ‘this meditation’ a little earlier, but I am grateful even now. I saw and realized my shameful self, how I made myself, my family, and the people around me suffer due to my inferiority complex and obsession over myself, who was really nothing. I don’t want to live like that ever again. I want to discard all my selfish minds that lacked gratitude and humility.
For the past 8 months, my mind and body were weakened by tremendous stress. The false heat, stress, anxiety, and insomnia, which were difficult to overcome even with acupuncture and medicine from neurology, psychiatry, and oriental medicine clinics, began to improve.
“After 3-4 days of starting the practice, I felt the energy and blood in my body and head opening up and becoming warm. After a week, I was able to sleep without taking sleep inducers and tranquilizers.”
Also, my inability to properly taste food improved; as I began to taste the original flavors of food, my appetite greatly improved. As I participate in the remaining levels, I want to look back at myself, recover into a person who lives healthily in mind and body and happily, and truly live a wonderful life. I will definitely complete all the levels and become like that.
