📖 Introduction

Does it ever feel like your brain simply refuses to shut off? When we are overwhelmed by chronic stress, our minds can become trapped in a state of constant overload. This endless cycle of overthinking not only leads to severe insomnia and a “mental haze,” but it can also make us highly irritable and critical of everyone around us.

In this post, a 53-year-old individual shares their honest experience of suffering from a mind that operated 24 hours a day. Driven to exhaustion by stress and sleepless nights, they decided to try discarding their mind.

Read their story to discover how letting go of an overloaded mind brought deep, restful sleep in just a matter of weeks, and eventually cured a lifelong habit of criticizing the world.

💬 Meditation Testimonial: “Insomnia disappeared in 1~2 weeks”

By Hyunwook Woo / Age 53 / Level 7

It seems it has already been 2 years and 9 months since I encountered this meditation. From the world’s perspective, about 3 years was a very long time. However, thinking back to when I started this meditation, it seems my brain was operating diligently 24 hours a day and was in a state of overload.

Suffering from insomnia due to stress, I was spending my days losing my mind, meaning spending hazy years. Pushed by an acquaintance’s introduction and the recommendation of the person I live with, I listened to an explanation about this meditation at the meditation center at 11 PM. Feeling attracted to the fact that I could discard my mind starting the next day, the effort to discard myself began, and I spent time with my head hurting more and my mind and chest feeling frustrated.

“Yet, the amazing thing was that as 1~2 weeks passed, I could feel my insomnia disappearing on my own.”

As I slept deeply, my physical health improved, but I constantly argued right and wrong with the helpers and criticized everyone at the local meditation center. Coming to the meditation center at 9:30 AM and leaving at 9:30 PM, staying at the local meditation center for 12 hours, it was a continuation of arguing right and wrong all by myself. Thinking about it now, it seems I truly wandered lost in a dream.

Completing Level 3 over 2 years and entering the Main Center from Level 4, it seems a time of escaping obsession with “me” began, a time of ending criticism against the world began, and a time of effort to truly escape complete illusion began.

Learning that everything is accomplished according to the logic of the world, and learning that if I discard and have no “me”, everything is naturally resolved, I offer thanks to everything and want to earnestly continue the remaining study.
