This prestigious award was hosted by the Ministry of Education and JoongAng Ilbo, and organized by the National Youth Policy Institute. β¨
β΅ Leading the Way in Character Education
The Academic Society for Human Completion is dedicated to leading the harmonious development of individuals and communities through a wide range of activities. These impactful programs encompass school fields, universities, local communities, and even global platforms.
In particular, winning this grand prize will serve as a massive driving force for the character education of our youth, who are the true main protagonists of our future society. π
π What is True Character Education?
True character education is not simply the transmission of knowledge. It is a practical education where life and knowledge are deeply connected through a process in which students, teachers, and community members reflect on themselves and experience genuine change.
One of the society’s most representative programs, the ‘Mind Subtraction Meditation Class,’ is widely operated in elementary, middle, and high schools to facilitate this self-reflection.
π An Incredible Impact
The reach of this program has been phenomenal. As of 2024, approximately 140,000 students from 1,377 schools nationwide have participated and personally experienced the transformative effects of true character education! ποΈ
π A Vision for the Future: The Era of K-Character Education
Lee Deok-ju, President of the Academic Society for Human Completion, expressed his inspiring aspirations for the future:
