INTRODUCTION
Many people understand faith as believing in the image of Jesus, but Master Woo Myung teaches that true faith means becoming one with the mind of Jesus, which is the mind of Truth, the Origin, the Creator.
To unite with this mind, one must discard the false human mind and recover the existence of Truth within.
This teaching clarifies what it means to truly believe in Jesus—not as a form, but as the Consciousness of Truth, and how real faith is only possible when one becomes the mind of God.

Faith
Christianity says that those who have faith in Jesus will go to heaven. While this is correct, people have misinterpreted what it means to believe, or to have faith, in Jesus. Jesus is not a physical shape or an image. Jesus is Truth. Truth is the origin of the Universe, the great Soul and Spirit of the Universe, which is the Creator, God. Jesus had the mind of Truth, therefore believing in Jesus means to be one with, or to unite with, the mind of Jesus. Without believing in Truth, following the words of Truth and repenting, one cannot unite with the mind of Jesus.
In order to be one with the mind of God, the Creator and Truth, one has to throw away his false mind and have the existence of Truth in his mind. This is what it means to truly believe and have faith in Jesus. Man’s mind is sinful because each person has his own mind world which prevents him from being one with God, Jesus. When one throws away his sinful mind he will receive redemption from his sins and become one with Jesus – this is faith in Jesus and believing in him.
No one can live without being born as the child of God, by becoming one with the mind of the world of God. Only Truth can do this. True faith is finding Truth by denying and discarding one’s own mind and his self. Through death, Jesus united with the mind of God and became the bridge between God and man.
Discarding ourselves for righteousness, like Jesus, should be a matter of course because there is true faith in Jesus only when our minds become the mind of Jesus, of the Creator. When we discard our own individual bodies and minds, our minds become that of Jesus and we have true belief. This is truly having faith in Jesus.
