✨ Introduction
🌿 In this deeply reflective writing, Master Woo Myung reveals that human life is often lived not in the real world, but within the mind’s illusion.
🌌 He shows how people cling to memories, relationships, and beliefs, even as everything inevitably fades away with time.
💠Through this, suffering continues—because one does not know where to go or what truly remains.
✨ This teaching calls us to let go of all attachments and return to nature, the original state that exists beyond the self and the mind.
📖 Original Writing by Master Woo Myung
Let’s Return to Nature
Man is not in the world,
he is inside his mind,
and he speaks, acts and lives within his mind.
All those who raucously claimed life is
non-existent, futile, and like a weed,
have disappeared from the world.
There is an old grandma, who in the past believed her life,
of having children and making a home, to be a happy one.
But all her relationships scattered over time,
and now, having become an old grandma,
she is alone, gnawing and eating something with her toothless gums.
The members of her once big family have all gone somewhere,
and the masters of that time have gone to the next world.
She now lives in the old house of the past alone
and her days left in the world are also numbered.
While the many trials and tribulations have disappeared with time,
all the stories of her life remain inside her mind,
and she speaks, again and again, of the past.
In that world, in which she does not know where to go,
the world in which there is nowhere to go,
she is so ignorant that she does not worry;
she believes when she dies
she will live once more with her husband and ancestors.
She is particularly kinder and more loving to the descendants
whom she believes will perform her ancestral rites,
in order that she may come and eat the ceremonial food they offer.
The people of the world who live a human life
do not know where to go, or how they live.
Countless stories of life after death have been passed down through the ages
but no one knows whether they are right or wrong.
Seen from the world, everyone who has gone on to the next world
has become nature; they have returned to the origin.
Man can live in paradise without dying,
only when the master of the origin gives him new birth
in the land of the origin that is without death.
But man can only know such ways of the world,
he can only know the afterworld, after he has died.
Dear people,
discard all worries, anxieties, all human affairs of sorrow,
and when your life is at an end, return back to nature
for only nature that originally exists, when you do not exist, must remain.
He who lives in his own world,
lives in the world of hell
and hell is a world that does not exist.
It is a false world.
Let’s be born in the true world.
Let’s die completely so that only nature remains,
and in nature, let’s be reborn.
