Introduction
β¨ In this powerful teaching, Master Woo Myung explains a fundamental principle: we can only offer and teach what we truly possess within ourselves.
According to Master Woo Myung, just as a teacher can only teach what they have mastered, a person can only share what they genuinely are. Whether it is a skill, knowledge, or wisdom, it must already exist within the person in order to be taught to others. πΏ
This writing emphasizes that Truth itself can only be taught by one who is Truth. Just as people seek masters to learn specific abilities, those who seek Truth must go to the place where Truth exists. Through the method of cleansing the mind, one can come to realize and become the true Mind.
Through these words, Master Woo Myung offers a deep reflection on Truth, teaching, capability, authenticity, and the path to realizing the true Mind.

We Can Only Offer and Teach What We Are Capable Of
Throughout the years, I have been trying to teach people Truth, and this Truth that I teach is boundless. Many people have been very suspicious and judgmental towards me, but the fact of the matter is, we are only able to offer to others what we are capable of, just as we can only teach as much as we ourselves can do. If a person were to go to the Shaolin Monastery in China, he could learn Shaolin martial arts. If there were a person who could breathe out fire from his mouth, one could go to him to learn this skill. If there were a person who could fly, one could go to him to learn how. If there were an allknowing wise man, one could go to him in order to learn his wisdom. When a person comes to the place of Truth, he can become Truth through the method of cleansing one’s mind. For sure, the place of Truth can offer Truth because it has Truth – it can teach Truth because it has Truth. Therefore, it is natural that only a person who is, himself, Truth can teach the way to Truth. Saints and holy figures have come and gone from this world, leaving behind their teachings: Jesusβ words of Truth remain through the Bible while Buddhaβs through the sutras. Just as an English teacher teaches English, a Korean teacher teaches Korean, and a teacher of Truth teaches Truth, one can only offer as much as he has.
There are so many people in this world who consider themselves as being a βdΕ-in (a person who is Truth).β This is true even around Mt. Gyerong in South Korea. A true dΕ-in is a person who is the God of the Universe before and beyond the universe; in other words, he is the eternal Truth. Such a person can offer Truth and teach it, for he is one who has Truth. However, he who is not Truth itself is incapable of offering Truth or teaching it. In a Korean book of prophecy called βGyeogam-yurok,β it is written that out of a thousand chickens there is only one bird of Heaven, the phoenix. This refers to the one who is Truth – the phoenix – out of all the dΕ-ins in Heaven.
As a person cleanses his mind at the place of Truth, he will come to find his true Mind. It is possible because the place of Truth has the true Mind.

Reflect at Santa Clara Meditation
πΏ The teaching of Master Woo Myung reminds us that authenticity is at the heart of all true teaching.
This writing suggests that real learning does not come from words alone, but from the state of being of the teacher. Only one who has realized Truth can truly guide others toward it. Likewise, each person must also walk the path and transform themselves rather than relying solely on external knowledge.
At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners are guided to cleanse the false mind and discover the true Mind within. Through the teachings of Master Woo Myung, one can reflect on truthfulness, authenticity, capability, and inner transformation, moving toward a state where one can truly understand and embody Truth. β¨
