Master Woo Myung teaching on humans are ghosts mind delusion and truth

Introduction

โœจ In this striking teaching, Master Woo Myung reveals a profound perspective: that many people, though appearing human, are actually living as ghosts of their own minds.

According to Master Woo Myung, a human without Truth is not truly living, but is instead driven by countless delusions stored in the mind. These delusions take form as anger, jealousy, love, hatred, and many other emotionsโ€”each acting like a different โ€œghostโ€ that emerges depending on the situation. ๐ŸŒฟ

This writing explains that people often live unaware of this condition, believing they are fully alive, when in fact they are living within illusions. Only one who has the true mind of Truth can live as a righteous and truly living person.

Through these words, Master Woo Myung offers a powerful reflection on illusion, the human mind, delusion, identity, righteousness, and the difference between ghost-like existence and true life.

Original Writing by Master Woo Myung

Humans Are Ghosts

Man looks like a human
but acts like a ghost because
there is no Truth in the shape of man.
Humans who live with ghosts
live not knowing they are ghosts.
But humans who are not ghosts
can see ghosts.

People do not have true mind,
but they have countless ghosts in their minds;
ghosts are the delusions of oneโ€™s mind.
These delusions become the self,
and people live as those ghosts.
This ghost comes out for this situation,
and that ghost comes out for that situation.
They live with a ghost for every occasion.

Though he looks like a human being, man is a ghost.
When he is angry, he is a ghost of anger.
When he has hatred, love, jealousy, and an enemy,
he is that ghost.
When he laughs, he is a ghost of laughter.
This is because his mind is the ghost.

Man stores false things in his mind
and lives the life of a ghost, a life which is not righteous.
A righteous person is one who has a mind of Truth.
When a person lives with that mind,
he is righteous and is a living person.

Ghosts are illusions of the dead,
and a righteous one is the trueness of a living person.

Reflect at Santa Clara Meditation

๐ŸŒฟ The teaching of Master Woo Myung invites us to deeply examine the nature of our own mind.

This writing suggests that what we often identify as โ€œselfโ€ may actually be a collection of temporary thoughts, emotions, and delusions. These shifting states can control our actions and perceptions, leading us to live unconsciously, like ghosts moving from one state to another.

At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners are guided to cleanse the mind and remove these accumulated delusions. Through the teachings of Master Woo Myung, one can reflect on illusion, identity, the false self, and the discovery of the true mind, moving toward becoming a righteous and truly living person grounded in Truth. โœจ
