✨ Introduction
🌿 In this insightful teaching, Master Woo Myung reveals a deeper principle behind human communication—how to speak to people according to their situation.
Most conflicts arise not from words themselves, but from the ego-driven mind behind them. People react, resist, and close themselves off because they are attached to their own identities and perspectives.
🗣️ This teaching explains that:
- People act from their “ghost-like” minds (ego, self-centered thoughts)
- Direct confrontation often causes resistance
- True wisdom is knowing how to guide others without conflict
✨ A person with a “big mind” understands how to communicate skillfully—maintaining Truth within, while speaking in a way that others can accept.
📖 ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
How to Speak to People According to Their Situation
An empty chuckle escapes me,
I laugh in vain.
Ghosts love to be honored and acknowledged,
and they live only for themselves.
Therefore, I tell ghosts that
they are good and right;
it is a tactic, a skillful measure to speak to people appropriately
according to their situation, while my true mind remains as is.
It is the tactic that a big-minded person uses in order to
live without conflicts here and there.
When the Creator creates everything and lets everything live,
the Creator enables them to live as one without conflict.
Yet humans do not know how to live,
for they do not have wisdom within their own minds.
However, a big-minded person has the method.
The way to get ghosts to listen is to praise them for their good qualities, though they are not actually good qualities;
if you dislike them, they will run away.
You must praise them
until they know their own ghostly identities and
until they confess.
The world is full of ghosts,
humans, who are all ghosts, seek ghosts outside of themselves.
To be friendly with the ghost is the way to catch the ghost,
and encouraging them is the way to make them follow Truth.
To please them is the way
to stop them from rebelling against Truth.
