Claire L. meditation testimonial about snow globe metaphor and true self

How Claire Learned to See Beyond Her Own Mind and Make Clear, Confident Decisions

Claire L. beautifully illustrates what many of us feel: that life is an endless series of decisions, routines, and emotional responses that shape our identity—but often without clarity or freedom. She likens this experience to being trapped inside a snow globe, reacting to the world without even knowing we’re trapped in our own minds.

Through the practice of this meditation, Claire began to recognize the accumulation of thoughts, emotions, and judgments that had built up over time. As she progressed through the meditation method taught by Master Woo Myung, she was able to discard these mental images and attachments, revealing the True Self and a sense of clarity she had never known before.

Her words serve as a vivid reminder that peace and true liberation don’t come from changing the outside world—but from seeing it clearly from the outside.

💬 Testimonial: If You Could See From Outside the Snow Globe, You Would Know You’re Inside the Snow Globe

By Claire L.

We all struggle to make the right decisions in life. Some decisions are more difficult than others. Some carry life-changing consequences, while others may seem small and insignificant. I won’t pretend that I always knew the right thing to do or say in every situation, and I think most people would admit the same. No one knows how to make the perfect decision every single moment of their life.

We may believe we are fully in control of our lives, but in reality, we are all given different circumstances, environments, and experiences. We each live according to the “cards” we were dealt.

And what are we all doing here?

Most of us are simply busy living.

We go to work. We quit jobs or get laid off. We care for family members or are cared for by them. We cook meals, clean homes, raise pets, celebrate weddings, births, reunions, and anniversaries. We grieve losses, fight through hardships, struggle with illness, travel the world, or stay home watching television.

Life is an endless accumulation of events, experiences, emotions, and decisions.

And every one of those experiences leaves something behind in the mind.

So why is it often so difficult to know what the “right” decision is?

Because after years of accumulating experiences, emotions, judgments, wounds, attachments, and thoughts, we eventually lose the ability to clearly see ourselves.

In that state, it becomes difficult to know what is truly right for us.

To me, it felt as though we were all living inside a snow globe. Life kept shaking us around while thoughts, emotions, worries, and judgments swirled endlessly like snowflakes around our minds. The strangest part was that none of us even realized we were inside the snow globe because everyone else was living inside the same one too.

However, after practicing this meditation, things slowly began to change.

First, I began to recognize the snow globe itself.

I became aware of my attachments, judgments, and emotional reactions whenever I made decisions. I could clearly see when my mind was trapped by certain thoughts or emotions. Before meditation, these patterns had been completely subconscious.

I also used to become frustrated and curse whenever problems arose. But eventually, I began appreciating even difficult situations because they revealed how trapped I had been inside my own mind.

As I continued practicing meditation more deeply, decision-making gradually became easier.

Why?

Because I began seeing the bigger picture.

I realized that my coworkers, parents, friends, and everyone around me were also struggling inside their own “snow globes,” trying their best to navigate life while burdened by their accumulated thoughts and emotions.

Then one beautiful day, after letting go of so many accumulated memories, attachments, and burdens from my life, something changed completely.

For the first time, I saw myself clearly.

I saw the world clearly.

I could make decisions without constant fear, doubt, or hesitation because I could accept any condition and circumstance without being trapped by it emotionally.

It felt as though I had discovered a hidden door inside the snow globe itself.

And through that door, I stepped outside.

That was when I understood what this meditation meant by “true freedom and liberation.”

It truly exists.

And to me, it is one of the greatest gifts in the world.
