π Introduction
Stress, depression, insecurity, and the fear of not being good enough can quietly shape the way we experience life.
Many people spend years trying to become happier by working harder, achieving more, or helping others, only to discover that lasting peace still feels out of reach.
In this meditation testimonial, Heather shares how childhood experiences, family conflict, and deep feelings of insecurity led her on a search for genuine happiness. Through meditation, she learned to honestly examine her own mind, let go of long-held emotional burdens, and discover a peace that no external achievement could provide.
Her journey is a powerful reminder that sometimes the best decision we ever make is simply giving ourselves the opportunity to change from within.
π¬ Meditation Testimonial: The Best Decision of My Life
By Heather N.
I started this meditation because I was struggling with stress and depression.
At the time, I didn’t expect much from it.
All I wanted was to feel a little more comfortable and confident in my life.
What I have gained, however, has far exceeded my expectations.
Looking back, I feel incredibly fortunate to have discovered this meditation and experienced the transformation it has brought to my life.
πΏ Searching for Lasting Happiness
My parents divorced when I was young.
Growing up, I constantly watched them argue and fight with each other.
I often wondered how two people who once loved each other could become enemies.
I questioned whether the true love described in the Bible and Buddhist scriptures actually existed.
All I saw was happiness that seemed temporaryβsomething that faded as time passed.
There were also many traits in my parents that I promised myself I would never inherit.
For example, I vowed never to become as impatient and ambitious as my father.
Yet as I grew older, I found myself constantly striving to be the best at everything I did.
How ironic.
The harder I tried to change myself, the more frustrated and desperate I became.
I tried to become a better person by participating in volunteer work and helping others.
Although I genuinely enjoyed those experiences, deep inside I still carried fears of being abandoned and not being good enough.
No matter what I did, I could never find true peace of mind.
π Looking Honestly at Myself
Through this meditation, I was finally able to look honestly at myself.
I began to see how self-centered and hypocritical I had been.
I had often told my family, relatives, and friends that I loved them.
But when I looked deeply into my mind, I realized that the person I loved most was actually myself.
I believed I was special.
I believed I deserved more.
I had built an entire world around protecting and satisfying myself while convincing myself that I was caring for others.
It became clear why my life had been filled with insecurity, conflict, and fear.
Because I was constantly carrying this self-centered mind, I could not simply live according to nature.
I was buried beneath greed, inferiority, attachment, and endless desires.
Yet outwardly, I walked through life with my head held high, believing I was important and constantly thinking about how to gain more, achieve more, and become more.
π Discovering the Original Mind
At the main center in Korea, I met people from all over the world.
Everyone arrived carrying different burdens, struggles, and life stories.
But as we practiced this meditation together, we all gradually came to the same realization:
Those personal stories and identities we cling to are not the Truth.
There is only the one original mind that exists within the world.
Looking back, I believe the best decision I ever made was simply opening my mind enough to try this meditation.
In the beginning, I had many doubts and questions.
But as time passed and I experienced the changes firsthand, I was able to confirm for myself that this method truly works.
With each experience, my trust in the meditation became stronger and stronger.
Today, I feel deeply grateful that I gave myself the opportunity to begin this journey.
My sincere hope is that anyone who is searching for peace, happiness, or answers in life will open their mind, give this meditation a chance, and continue practicing until the end.
π Conclusion
Heather’s story reminds us that lasting happiness does not come from external success or trying to become someone different.
By honestly examining her own mind and letting go of fear, insecurity, attachment, and self-centered thinking, she discovered genuine peace, gratitude, and a deeper understanding of herself.
Her experience is an inspiring example of how one decisionβto begin looking withinβcan become the best decision of a lifetime.
