It has been about four years since I began practicing this meditation.
Friends sometimes say, “Haven’t you done enough already?” But when I look back on the changes I’ve experienced, I still feel that I am hungry for more.
From a young age, I was deeply interested in philosophy and religion. Questions such as “Why was I born?” and “Why do people live and die?” constantly remained in my mind.
By my third year in university, the pressure of these questions made life feel meaningless, and I took a leave of absence.
Around that time, my younger sibling attended a meditation center. When they returned, they had changed significantly and were able to clearly answer the very questions I had struggled with for years. I was amazed.
I immediately began practicing this meditation.
This meditation clearly defines the mind and teaches a method to discard it. I had often heard that one must “let go of the mind,” but I had never learned how. This method felt like the answer I had been searching for.
As I discarded the mind step by step, I came to truly understand who I am.
I still remember the joy and realization I felt at that moment:
“This is it.”
🌱 From Endless Worry to Freedom
I used to worry constantly—every single day.
Only after practicing this meditation did I realize how severe it was. I would regret the past and worry endlessly about the future. Even before events happened, I would already feel anxious.
Because of this constant stress, I developed serious stomach issues and even underwent surgery during my university years. After that, I struggled to eat properly.
However, as I continued this meditation, my condition improved significantly. Now, I can eat freely without discomfort.
I realized that many illnesses originate from the mind—what people call stress-related or psychosomatic illness.
As my worries disappeared, my body naturally recovered.
Now, even if I try to worry, I cannot.
This is what true freedom feels like.
🌿 A Life of Focus, Clarity, and Happiness
I am currently working as a public servant in Gyeongju. While preparing for the exam, I experienced the power of this meditation once again.
