Master Woo Myung teaching about destiny fate truth

Introduction

โœจ In this teaching, Master Woo Myung explores one of humanityโ€™s oldest questions: What is destiny, and can we know it in advance?

Throughout history, people have been curious about their future and their fate. Many wonder whether their lives follow a predetermined path or whether their destiny can be changed. According to Master Woo Myung, this curiosity arises because people do not clearly understand where they came from or where they will return after death. ๐ŸŒŒ

He explains that human thoughts and emotions are constantly changing. Because people are controlled by these shifting thoughts, their understanding of destiny often becomes confused. As a result, people create their own ideas about fate and then suffer under the weight of those beliefs.

Master Woo Myung teaches that destiny does not originally exist as something fixed. Instead, it arises from the conditions of life and the actions of individuals. When a person understands **Truthโ€”the original emptiness from which all things ariseโ€”**many of these questions about destiny naturally disappear.

Through realizing Truth, a person can move beyond the limitations of fate and live freely within the natural flow of existence. ๐ŸŒฟ

ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG

What is destiny, and is it possible to know oneโ€™s destiny in advance?

People have many things to do, and they do many things.

Many people wonder about their fate or destiny;
they want to know what their destiny is
but they are unable to gain any clear answers.

This is because people are controlled by their minds,
but humans are fickle and change frequently.

A personโ€™s thoughts in the morning
changes by nightfall,
only to change again by the next morning.

The reason behind manโ€™s curiosity about his fate
comes from his ignorance of where he comes from
and where he will return to after he dies.

It is from the original nothingness that man came;
this place of nothingness is the place of Truth.

When he knows Truth –
the place of emptiness and the reason it created all things –
his questions will disappear.

Not knowing Truth is like being in the darkness
so it is natural that man finds life a mystery.

Destiny is not something that originally exists;
one simply comes into existence
by moving into a state of having form.

The problem is that man desires to know why this is so.

Man is an existence that drifts like a cloud
within the flow of changing time.

Not knowing that he is a cloud-like existence,
he desires to become the master of the cloud.

Consequently, he himself creates his destiny
and then suffers because he finds his destiny difficult to bear.

Man is like the moon that drifts with the clouds
but he tries to stop both the moon and the clouds from drifting;
this is what creates his destiny.

Many people hope that their destiny will be a great one,
but not many people actually have a great destiny.

Therefore, most people live in suffering.

Their destiny is tied to heaven,
and although they try to escape it,
it cannot be changed.

One should accept his destiny
because trying to forcedly change it
often brings about an even worse fate.

In any case, destiny is something
that both exists and does not exist:

it does not exist because it is something that is already decided,
yet at the same time it exists because it can be changed
by oneโ€™s actions.

The only way to become completely free of oneโ€™s fate
or change a bad fate into a good one
is to become enlightened and know Truth.

There are no restrictions when one becomes Truth;
no hindrances of any kind.

This is the original meaning
of what people call destiny.

๐ŸŒฟ Reflect at Santa Clara Meditation

At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners reflect on teachings from Master Woo Myung that explore the nature of life, destiny, and the human mind.

Many people feel uncertain about their future and wonder whether their lives are predetermined. These questions often arise when individuals try to control circumstances that are constantly changing.

๐ŸŒ  Through meditation and self-reflection, people may begin to observe how their thoughts, expectations, and fears influence how they interpret their lives.

The teachings of Master Woo Myung encourage individuals to look beyond these shifting thoughts and discover a deeper perspective on life, one that allows them to live more freely within the natural flow of existence.
