Introduction
β¨ In this teaching, Master Woo Myung reflects on the limitations of human understanding and the importance of realizing Truth.
According to Master Woo Myung, people often live within the narrow boundaries of their own experiences and thoughts. Because they rely only on what they have personally seen or felt, they cannot fully understand the deeper principles of life, existence, and the universe. This limitation, he explains, is the foolishness of man. π
Master Woo Myung teaches that true wisdom comes from recognizing the deeper nature of existence. He explains that the saints of different traditionsβwhether speaking of God, Buddha, Allah, or Haneol-nimβwere ultimately referring to the same fundamental Truth.
Rather than focusing on names or external beliefs, he emphasizes the importance of cleansing the mind and realizing Truth directly. Through this transformation, a person can awaken to the original nature of existence and live in harmony with the eternal life that comes from the Energy and Light of the Universe. πΏ
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
The Foolishness of Man
Man lives inside himself with his body and mind.
A life lived inside himself is one in which
man knows only what he has experienced.
Man knows neither what he must do to live
nor what it is that should die.
This is because man has no wisdom.
This is because man does not know anything.
When a person has his body,
there is breath in his life.
Accordingly, we say that one is dead
when one does not breathe.
Man is able to live without breath
when he becomes the Creator, who is perfection.
That man was created in the image of God means
God, who is Truth, is in man.
Thus man must be the Energy and Light of the Universe
in order to live.
Living without becoming Truth is false and delusional.
The Light and Energy of the Creator is eternal life.
And becoming this Light and Energy
is the only way for man to live eternally.
There is no other way aside from this.
To believe means to become this Light and Energy
and for the mind to confirm it.
All religions of this age are incomplete because
people do not understand the words of the saints
and merely pray for things.
When the saints spoke of βHaneol-nimβ, God, Buddha, or Allah,
they were all speaking of Truth.
Therefore, do not be bound to these names.
Rather you must repent;
you must seek absolution of your sins;
you must reach the parinirvana, the maha-nirvana, and the apradisthita-nirvana.
When man eliminates the sinner that is him –
when he cleanses his unclean mind –
man can be reborn as a saint.
Man falsely thinks that mere blind faith
will take him to Heaven
because man does not know the definition of faith
and thus has no wisdom.
It is common sense that without becoming Truth,
one cannot have eternal life or go to Heaven.
That some being will come and deliver man means that
this being will teach man how to become Truth
and how to repent for his sins;
it does not mean that some being
will make things appear out of nowhere
or just send people to true Paradise.
True Paradise is the Land where
those who have become Truth live.
Only those who have entered into Heaven
while they are alive
may go to Heaven.
Only a person who has gained eternal life
while he is still alive
may live forever.
Eternal Heaven is the Land where
only those who have completely repented for their sins live.
If one is not Truth now, then he has yet to become Truth;
he is not Truth.
One must be Truth at this very moment.
Now is the time
when all things are being fulfilled and completed
according to the true will of man and the words of the saints.
Now is the time when everyone can become Truth.
Now is the time when everyone can be born in eternal Heaven
while they are alive
and live there.
Heaven is being achieved on this earth.
And according to how many blessings
a person has amassed on this earth that is Heaven,
he will simply live in this eternal Heaven just as he is
even after his body is no more.
This life and the next are not separate;
the place in which one lives on just as he is now
is true Paradise.
