INTRODUCTION
β¨ In this reflection, Master Woo Myung addresses the famous debate between the Korean philosophers Yi Hwang and Yi Yiβwhether reality originates from two principles (yin and yang) or from one. π
πΏ He explains that while creation may appear to arise from dual forces, from the perspective of Truth, everything comes from one original emptiness and returns to it. π
Truth is unchanging and singular. Therefore, from the viewpoint of the origin, the theory that all things come from one is correct. β¨
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
What is the difference between the theories of two Korean philosophers, Yi Hwang and Yi Yi, the former who believed in the theory that all things are two, and the latter who believed in the theory that all things are one?
From manβs point of view, creation may seem to happen from the origin of two things, that is, from yin and yang but it is not so. The world exists because all creations came from the original emptiness which is the origin, and it is to this emptiness that they return. The origin is one, so from Truthβs point of view, all things came from one.
The theories of these two Korean philosophers did not actually come from their own studies and research, but from the studies of a Chinese philosopher, which they then explained. However questions about Truth cannot be resolved through studies; one must actually know Truth. Truth is that which does not ever change, of which there is only one in the world, and that one is eternal and unchanging. Just as there is only one Truth, it is not that this and that exist in the world; all things that exist are energy, so the theory of one is correct.

πΏ REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION
At Santa Clara Meditation, this teaching is contemplated as a way to see beyond duality. By returning to the origin, practitioners come to understand the oneness of Truth exactly as taught by Master Woo Myung. π
