Introduction
β¨ In this profound reflection, Master Woo Myung explains how the condition of the human mind determines how we perceive the world. When the mind is filled with accumulated thoughts, experiences, and personal judgments, our perception becomes limited and distorted.
According to Master Woo Myung, people often see the world through a self-centered viewpoint, shaped by memories, opinions, and past experiences. Because the mind is not clear or expansive, it cannot perceive the true nature of reality. π
However, when the accumulated mind disappears and one returns to the original mind, a deeper awareness becomes possible. In that state, the mind is clear and vast, allowing one to perceive the Universe as it truly is.
Through this teaching, Master Woo Myung suggests that when a person awakens to the original mind, they realize that the Universe is alive and exists within themselves, revealing the unity between consciousness, creation, and the living reality of the world. πΏ
ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
The World That Is Alive in My Mind
Your mind is not clear,
your mind is not big.
So you cannot see what is in your mind.
You see and judge the world
with a mind that is not clear and big,
with a mind in which you have stored numerous things.
This is not judging with a righteous mind,
but it is just your own viewpoint.
It is your own self-centered mind.
It is your opinion and past experiences.
Because this mind is not clear and big,
what remains is a mind that is of the same shape as yourself.
When you do not have that mind and have only the original mind,
and when you become that original mind,
you can see well what is in your mind.
When you become the original mind
nothing exists in the original mind but the sole God.
Nothing exists, but God exists;
the absence of all creation in the universe is the body,
and there is the mind which is consciousness;
the whole of creation is
the appearance of the body and mind of God.
All shapes are
the embodiment of both the soul and spirit in the mind.
Existence is non-existence, and non-existence is existence.
All are one living soul and spirit.
When the Creator created the heavens and the earth
and all creation,
the Creator created all as the living soul and spirit.
However, people are dead in their conceptions and behaviors
because their minds are not clear and big.
People cannot live
without being reborn as the original mind.
When I look upon the universe with its clear and big mind,
the universe is alive, and the universe is in me.
Because the universe is in me,
I know all of natureβs laws,
and I know everything.

πΏ Reflect at Santa Clara Meditation
At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners reflect on teachings from Master Woo Myung that guide individuals toward rediscovering the original mind.
Meditation is a process of discarding the accumulated mind β the countless thoughts, memories, and judgments that obscure the clarity of oneβs awareness.
π As the mind becomes clear and expansive, practitioners may begin to experience the world not as something separate, but as a living reality that is deeply connected with their own consciousness.
Through this realization, individuals can discover a profound sense of unity between the self, nature, and the Universe.
