What Man Needs to Achieve and Do
What is it that you are trying to gain,
trying to find,
trying to obtain,
and trying to have?
There has never been anything to gain, have or possess in human life because human life itself is a futile illusion. No one in the world is righteous because people live inside their minds. Everyone lives greedily, acquiring countless false and useless things, and they suffer within that falseness while always wanting to have more.
What then, must man achieve and do?
Man can become a true person and righteous one if he escapes from his burden and lives reborn in the world. Such a person lives without death. A person’s level of affluence is decided by what kind of mind he has – by what kind of minds he has “eaten” – and not by his will. However these kinds of things are meaningless. Becoming Truth and living and working in the true world, and only this, is completion. This is what man needs to do and it is also the most “human” way to live.
Time just exists, silently, yet at the same time, it exists as a passing existence in man’s life. In the world of the mind, there is no past, present or future. The Bible asks us to look at the birds flying in the sky and the flowers blooming in the fields. This means nature and the animals in nature have neither a past nor thoughts about the future so they are able to just live.
People live with worries because they think about the future with the mind of the past. But they need not worry, that is, those who are living in the land of Truth need not worry if they are able to survive in the present. They can live well without being anxious about the future. This is because heaven has fulfilled everything – it is enough to be able to eat and survive in the present and there is no need to worry about the future.
It is enough to work diligently right now – only a person who is inside a picture worries about how he will live in the future. Man is a false ghost because he lives inside an illusion, and a false ghost only cares about himself. He cares only for his own security – namely, he lives worrying about his body. However a person who has been born in the land of Truth will sacrifice his whole body to work in the land of Truth.
It is enough if you are able to eat and live now. Do not worry about the future and work diligently. Everything in great nature just lives. Man should follow its example by not worrying, and like nature, just live as a member of nature.

To live as a human of Truth
is to work for the world,
without greed, fear, or expectation —
for this is the most human way to live.
