The sun is more than just a star—it was created for the Earth.
In this teaching, Master Woo Myung explains that the sun’s role is deeply connected to Earth, as it exists solely to support life here.

There may be other stars like the sun, but only Earth has living beings. This is why the sun’s existence is tied to the Earth’s—and it will continue shining only as long as Earth remains.

What Is the Sun Composed of And What Is Its Role? How Long Is Its Lifespan And Is There Another Sun in the Universe That Is Similar?
The sun is composed of a huge mass of gas. It was created for the Earth, and this is its role. Although there are many stars in the universe that are similar to the sun, only the Earth has living creatures and people living on it. The Earth is the reason for the sun’s existence.
Its lifespan differs from that of other stars. This is because it exists for the Earth; it will disappear when the Earth disappears for it will no longer be needed. However, it will continue to exist for as long as the Earth exists. Such is the providence of heaven.
