What Is Philosophy?

Philosophy is defined in the dictionary as the study of researching the fundamental principles of humankind and the world and topics such as the nature of life. In philosophy, people endeavor to find the origin of the world in their thoughts. However, no matter how much they try to find it, it cannot be found. This is because the world of Truth, which is the original essence, does not exist inside people’s minds. This is why it cannot be found.

Philosophy and the Eastern word Dō (The Way, the Truth) are one and the same. But since the original essence of neither Philosophy nor Dō exists inside the human mind, they cannot be found. For these to exist inside the human mind, people, who are false, must disappear from the world. Then, the original essence, which is the true world, will exist inside the human mind. One can know all of these principles, including such things as the original essence of true life, and one will be able to take action.
