π INTRODUCTION
β¨ What is life? Is it joy or sorrow, gain or loss, being or nothingness? πΏ
In this poetic meditation, Master Woo Myung expresses the totality of existence through the opposites that make up human life.
Life is both existence and non-existence, both sorrow and happiness, both arrival and departure.
When one sees life as it truly is β simply as it is, without judgment or attachment β one realizes that all of life arises from the mind itself. π
π ORIGINAL WRITING BY MASTER WOO MYUNG
What is Life?
Life is existence;
life is the existence of image;
life is non-existence.
Life is youth and old age;
life is to exist as you are.
Life is solitude;
life is happiness.
Life is about having;
life is about not having.
Life is sorrow;
life is futility.
Life is about success;
life is about failure.
Life is arrivals and departures.
Life is about farewells;
life is about the attachments of the mind.
Life is foulness;
life is filthiness.
Life is empathy;
life is indifference.
Life is wealth;
life is poverty.
Life is starvation;
life is satisfaction.
Life is the whole of what you see and what you hear
due to the existence of your mind.

π REFLECT AT SANTA CLARA MEDITATION
At Santa Clara Meditation, practitioners are guided to see life as it truly is β
free of the dualities that the mind creates. π±
When one discards the false mind, existence and non-existence become one,
and life reveals itself as the true, eternal now.
To live as Truth is to embrace all things β joy and sorrow, gain and loss β as one harmonious whole. π
