🛤️ What is dō, and why must we walk it? In this deep and transformative teaching, Master Woo Myung explains that dō is not something mystical or separate from life—it is life itself.
🌱 Everyone is already walking a path—dō—but most do not realize whether it is a true path or a false one. The true dō is lived when one dwells in Truth; the false dō is followed when one lives from delusion and ego.
🌌 Master Woo Myung reveals that dō only appeared because man created a false self and began living from that self. Now, people must practice dō consciously to escape inner conflict, suffering, and illusion.
🧘♂️ To walk the true dō is to shed the ego, become heaven itself, and enter the eternal realm of Truth. This is not optional—it is the one thing a human being must accomplish while alive.
What is dō (the path, the way, or Truth) and why must we do dō ?
The word dō refers to a path; a path that must be travelled. People do not know what dō is, in fact it is something that everyone does as they live their lives. Dō is the very life that one is living but people mistakenly believe that it exists somewhere else.
One is doing the true dō if he dwells in Truth as he lives his life. However, if his life is not Truth, the dō he is travelling is a false path. Thus, while everyone does dō, some are walking down a true path and some are walking down a false one. In order to walk down the proper path, one must become enlightened. Only then can he truly say that he is doing dō. Dō is not something that originally existed; in fact life itself is dō. However, it came to exist because man made a self with which he began to live. Therefore, dō is something that everyone must practice even though it does not actually exist; one cannot ever escape from his constant inner battles with his mind and sufferings if he does not. Moreover, he will not be able to enter into the eternal place of Truth, and his delusions and mental agonies will last forever. Therefore, man must do dō and escape from all delusions. Dō is to arrive or reach heaven. This is the one thing that man must achieve as a human being while he is alive.
Anyone can become heaven itself if he sheds his self or ego. When one has found the study and practice of this, he has found the true dō.
